Powerful, directive, attractive FLOW!
The media could not be loaded. Love these flow pumps! Have them one day so far and am BLOWN away (no pun intended!) by their performance and aesthetics. For the price ($22 + tax each) these perform just as well if not better than my other (big name brand) pumps in my saltwater aquarium.I was looking for better flow in our freshwater tank because of these things you should know:Great flow increases oxygenation plus suspends debris, waste, and detritus (crud) into the water column (floating around) to get sucked into the filtration system. Flow also creates resistance for the fish to swim against, like in rivers, for exercise thus health. Stagnant or still water turns into swamp or toxic water filled with algae and foul-aroma accumulates, which is what you DON’T want in a glass box displayed at home for entertainment (and scientific study). These pumps: run sufficiently quiet, like most pumps out there whether expensive or affordable. A normal low hum is heard if you put your ear up to them. There’s a motor inside. Expected.Flow is powerful! I picked up a pair of 1600 (1598 ?) gallons per hour and they do not disappoint! Water at the surface churns while pumps are about 1/3 deep and pointing straight ahead (not up) in a 4’ wide 60-gallon aquarium. No need to wonder if these push out their rating, they do, trust me! My fish instantly swam about enthusiastically after plugging these in. Fish LIKE moving water.Bottom line: so glad we ordered a pair of these.Goal: the threshold was set to optimize tank flow at minimal cost without compromising function, in any way as much as possible, over price savings. Was it a SUCCESS?: Absolutely! White looks dazzling compared to the 99% of black plastic pumps. Eventually they will get covered in green biofilm and will need cleaning, no big deal. The magnetic attachment system should be standard on all pumps due to strength, ease of use, and secure placement. Sound is quiet and typical. Each pump draws 6-watts: economical. Flow is STRONG and can be pointed in a wide range of motion. Find the sweet spot and watch your tank come to life! 😎👍🏼

Stronger than it suggests
I initially bought the 1580GPH model, ran it for one day, and then bought the less powerful model to replace it.Both these pumps move some water, however the more powerful one is really more built for a 55 gallon tank. I have a 20 gallon long and it was too much. In this, the suggestion the larger one is made for (I'm going from memory here) like 16+ gallons is a bit off.My only other issue with this larger one is if you have it fully pointed one direction or the other (like fully up or fully down) it vibrates the holder it is in and becomes quite loud. It's an easy fix, just point it 95% in one direction or the other instead of 100% and that goes away, but to me warrants a star being taken off.Final thought: Before I installed it, I tested opening it up so I knew how I would clean it when it was needed. It's doable, but definitely not easy. My fingernails were pushed to their limits in the process (I won't get into too much detail, but you need to push down on four small buttons one at a time and keep the little gap that opens after each button open while you work at pushing the next button, which involved me working my thumbnail in the gap and keeping it there as I worked around), and this might sound dumb but I don't know if I would have been able to actually do it without tools if I had just trimmed my nails.

solid product
Very reasonable and works very well. did not see settings on it, but put what I think is flow slider in middle. I have 50 gal saltwater bought 2 if anyone knows what regulates it let me know

Works, but low quality material and a bit noisy
It’s ok. It moves water in the direction you point it, and the magnetic attachment works. The materials are cheap-plastic feeling and not very sturdy. The surface rings on the magnets come off with normal use, and the dampener rubber pieces come off too easily. My main complaint is that it’s noisy. Especially since it’s advertised as “ultra-silent”. It is louder than the numerous other pumps I have including those that pump a lot more water. I’ll keep it as a backup for a garage tank where the quality and noise issues are less significant, but I wouldn’t buy again.

It's soooooo loud!
The media could not be loaded. Perfect size and flow but it's God awful noisey. Ugh , definitely a deal breaker.
