Worth considering to give flavour to a new or existing campaign.

Overpriced trash
The asking price for WotC's official D&D books is quite obscene now. Quite apart from the lacklustre content, which criminally underserves readers looking for lore and setting information, they're actually quite cheaply made. TTRPG books NEED to be stitch bound to withstand the use they'll get as GMs thumb through them to find information in a hurry. Glue binding doesn't cut it. And at this RRP? Forget it. At the end of the day, there are MANY better TTRPG game systems you could play instead of D&D and its regular outpouring of exploitative splat books. Check out the recently released Dragonbane, for example. Or Forbidden Lands.
