Hiya Hiya Steel Interchangeable Knitting Needles, Small Size Set, 5 Inch Tips

These are wonderful. I have used two cables with different size needles so far and found them light and easy to use. The connections are simple to assemble and very secure - and I have weak wrists so the grippers make it easy to secure and undo the needles. A well as using them as circulars, I can knit two sleeves of a lady's size jumper at the same time back and forth, without having to worry about long needles or stitches falling off the end of a needle. They are perfect!

There are many circular needle sets available and after looking at many I knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted light weight metal needles with a sharp tip. Also I needed a set of needles that ranged from no.1 to no. 9. This set is from no.2 to no. 9 but I can easily purchase a size one needle to add to the set. Hiya Hiya met my needs and after knitting with them I am delighted with the results.

I love these needles! I have had my eye on them for quite some time. I love the fact that the cords swivel at the base of the tip to keep strain off of the cable. The case that the needles come in is quality fabric and it was a pure coincidence that the case I received also happens to be my favorite color. I don't worry about the tips or the cords falling out of this case as I have had issues with that in the past. These needles have a nice point to them that will make knitting lace patterns much easier.

Great product, and love the needles, but one of the needles in the set was dented, despite packaging being excellent. Also instructions mentioned needle connectors, and these weren't included in the set. I wonder if I need to buy them separately, or whether they have been omitted? Happily, it was the smaller size needles that I needed, so the problem hasn't really spoilt things. Quiet, smooth needles that make the knitting process a real pleasure. Would be great if even smaller sizes could be included in a set, such as sizes US0 and US1.

get the steels, not the sharps. i love mine. my friend pokes holes in her fingers with the sharps.

I love Hiya Hiya interchangeable needles. I have the steel set in small size, the bamboo set in large size, and a whole slew of sharp circular sock needles. The join is perfect, the cables are very flexible, and needle tips are lightweight yet strong (I haven't bent or broken a needle yet). These are the best that I have tried, and I plan to buy more. They are worth every penny!

This set is the super sharp set, not the more blunted steel set as advertised. I spent a lot of time trying to find the regular STEEL set. This set is labeled STEEL, but is in actuality the SHARP set. Very disappointed. I have used HiyaHiya needles for years and love them, but this particular seller is not providing accurate information.

These are the speed needles you want for projects with lots of stockinette stitch. Beautifully fashioned and buttery smooth without being too slippery. I have had no trouble with the cables or the joins. I bought this set for fuzzier yarns after I realized the merino/alpaca sport in a sweater kit was grabbing too much on bamboo needles. The Hiya Hiya needles have a nice taper but the tips are blunt, and stitches like mk1R are a little tricky. I would not use these for lace. There is a sharp set you can buy for that.
