Works great for removing vibrations from speakers!
My Dynaudio bookshelf speakers sit on a wood entertainment console with a glass top. Even though they are small the base response can make the glass vibrate at higher volume especially with music that has some good bass. I cut the Sorbothane pads down to one inch squares with one pad on each corner of the speaker and that kills any annoying vibrations. Same for listening to music. I have now switched over to a Sonos system and the speakers are all elevated and above the cabinet so its not needed for that system. I still keep my conventional system in place and use it regularly for music...because, sometimes...the old ways are just better.

Amazing Results with Ducati Motorcycle Mirrors
My application is the vibration damping of motorcycle mirrors. Soon after purchasing a 2018 Ducati Supersport, I began researching vibration damping materials and discovered studies that showed the superior damping properties of Sorbothane. After determining the proper thickness (important to achieve the most effective compression), I ordered the 3mm (0.125 in) film and cut two rectangles about 20x70mm for each mirror. To install, I pushed on the opposite side of the mirror, inserted the material, the pushed the mirror back in, wedging the piece between the mirror edge and inner mirror housing. The mirrors are shaped like a rounded triangle. The top of the mirrors do not have a sufficiently wide gap. So I installed the Sorbothane on the bottom two sides of the mirror triangles. Before the Sorbothane, vibration rendered the mirrors were completely unusable. After installing Sorbothane, I can easily see cars on either side. I'm happy as this allows me to keep the pleasing stock mirrors with their integrated turn signals. It seems that a lot of science has gone into making this product. It works so well that I ordered Sorbothane discs to use under the large subwoofer in my home theater system. You can even find a shape and density designed to reduce vibration under your washer or dryer! Having fun discovering your own application.

Great for Ducati motorcycle mirrors
From other online sources and feedback, as well as one other review specifically for this product, I bought this to eliminate/minimize the vibration in my bike's rear view mirrors. Before I installed the Sorbothane, the mirrors were essentially useless due to the massive amount of vibration, everything was just a blur. After I installed the Sorbothane the mirrors are now essentially vibration free, and I can use them to see behind me. It didn't eliminate 100% of the vibration depending on my speed and rpm's, however, it eliminated the majority of my mirror vibrations. I could probably experiment some more with the placement of the Sorbothane to eliminate all of the vibration, but it is so much better, and usable now, that I'm not going to mess with it. I've only had it installed on my mirrors for a few weeks, so I can't speak to the durability of the product, nor how long it will effectively cure my issue, but I don't see why it wouldn't be a long time fix.

Helped reduce computer case noise
I placed strips of this in a few areas around a noisy media server case and it helped quite a bit. It's not a complete solution, but I'd estimate it decreased the noise >50% with very little work.

sticky
Both sides of this were so sticky. It was extremely hard to work with without it sticking to itself.

Absorbs vibration
These have become a bit expensive like most other items. Otherwise, it works.

Both Sides Very Tacky
Both sides of this sheet are very sticky. The description states that's a natural feature of this material, but the use of 'tacky' rather than 'sticky' understates just how sticky they are. If you want it to adhere to just one surface e you'll need to treat one side so that it doesn't stick.

A must for sound dampening
I had my doubts and gave it an 80% chance of not working. Boy did it prove me wrong! It worked beautifully for my aluminum custom keyboard by removing any ping sound. Will be using just sorbothane from now on.
