Great product, great value, doesn't work out-of-the-box for ElectroVoice ZXA1Subs. I plan to buy more.
This is a very sturdy piece of steel. You can use this "Top Hat" to replace the 1 3/8" smooth socket you get with most subs. This is threaded - most are not. When they are not threaded then the pole that fits into this socket actually has too much play in it. Extend the pole up about 3 feet and put a PA cab on top of it and it makes the Leaning Tower Of Pisa look straight. The pole will flop all over the place and the speaker atop it will be all askew and look really stupid, like its about to fall over. Inserting this speaker pole mount allows you to use a threaded pole that screws into it so it doesn't wobble. Now, this mount DOES NOT WORK with the stock ElectroVoice ZXA1Sub, which has a THREE-HOLE mount with a smaller outer diameter than this one. The EV Sub's hole is recessed so this doesn't fit into it, but luckily it fits OVER it. You'll need to drill new holes and by bolts and T-Nuts. I wouldn't use the wood screws that this mount comes with - they may tear out of the wood if the PA Cab atop the pole is jossled. It was regardless very easy to install and all the screws and t-nuts are available at your local hardware store for under $10. Works like a charm. I will buy more of these! Good product, good price and fast shipping!-UPDATE: I gigged with these last weekend and they are as solid as a rock! I'm happier than a clam at high tide! One more thing, as an afterthought, you probably want to protect the thread on the poles that fit into these sockets. Again, take a pole to your local hardware store and buy some rubber "feet" - the kind they put on the bottom of metal tube chairs and such. The Ace Hardware part#/SKU is 51245 - it is a solid white rubber "foot". I paid $2.49 for a pack of four. I drilled a hole through mine and put a cord through it and attached it to the pole so that when I remove them from the pole they're still tied to the pole and don't get lost. You don't want those threads to get damaged, or even dirty, while transporting and storing them.-G

Perfect M20 Speaker adapter plate
You can not go wrong with this M20 adapter plate. Perfect fit, quality build and the screws really secure the plate to the speaker.

Works great on my EV ZXA1 sub, really solid and wobble-free
Saw another reviewer used these on his EV ZXA1 sub, I followed their idea, and it worked like a charm. The plate on this is only about 1/4 larger in diameter than the inset for the factory installed cup flange. Since it was so close, airflow would be an issue if I just bolted this over. I bought a package of flat gasket material at the hardware store that was basically 1/8" rubber and cork sheets. I traced the flange onto those and stacked the gasket material up (rubber, cork, rubber) to completely fill the existing inset then cut a smaller center hole out of the middle of my gasket stack to make room for the threaded inset of this mount (looked like a donut).Buy high quality threaded t-nut inserts that you can bang into the inside of the box so you're threading bolts in to mount this to ensure a really tight fit. Just take the grill and woofer off, drill the holes, and hammer these nuts into the top of the case in each hole you drilled. You'll need to buy matching bolts that are about 1/2" longer than the ones you take out of the factory cup since this sits on top of the box surface. You can leave leave the woofer attached, the wire is long. Vacuum it out and bolt it all together.I bought an On Stage threaded sub pole and T pole connector so I can mount both my QSC C8's on top of the sub for a compact PA. Slick.

Great material
They appears to be great and secured. The only problem that upset me was that I order 4 and my package was open and only got 3

Shipping disaster
Ive never actually got the product. It took it about 5 days just to get shipped. Ended up getting lost. I e order it a second time and it appears that shipping again will take about a week to ship. If you need this quick just order from a different vendor.Update: they actually delivered it on time. Now that I've install them they seem sturdy and do come with screws. The only con I've seen is that has a bit of finer threads enough to remove the paint of my m20 poles. at first I tough it was just the pole so I inserted the second pole and it shaved the paint off the second one aswell. i don't think it will be a big deal as they are both plenty of tight on my Rockville air lift poles they fit nice with no tilt.

Solid Adapters
I purchased these to replace the stock ones in my Peavey PVXp subs, so I could use the On Stage SS7746 Adjustable Subwoofer Pole with M20 Threaded ones to get more height. The adapters fit and lined up perfectly with my existing holes. No drilling necessary. The SS7746s were solid, once screwed into the adapters.

Solid Adapters!
Purchased this M20 adapter to replace the pole mounts in my Turbosound Venue 18" subs. I had to widen the existing pole mount cutouts in the subs so that these adapters are flush with the surface of the subs. The diameter of this adapter mount is 4 5/16" therefore your cutout diameter should be about 4 3/8". The good thing this is that the adapter holes lined up perfectly with the existing screw holes of the Turbosound subs.
