Updated review - fantastic lamp for houseplants
Updated Review: Following on from leaving the review below, Sansi reached out and offered a replacement as they suspected the product was faulty. The replacement arrived super quickly (next day!) which was awesome. As soon as I unboxed it and started unwrapping the arms I could feel a big difference. The new one has a much stiffer clamp and much more rigid arms. IMPORTANT - goose neck lamps almost never offer fully rigid posing and generally have a range of stiffness that offers a variety of “good” positions they hold in. The faulty lamp arms had almost no “good” range, whereas this new one allows me to have the lamp arms held securely in a far greater range of positions. And most importantly, they don’t slowly slip or swing downwards now! The clamp has foam cushioning to prevent damage to surfaces which I suspect partially contributed to the faulty lamp slipping (though the pressure exerted from the faulty lamp was less than the new one). The new one holds far far better, though I will be affixing some silicone across the ends of the clamp to help with its security. Changing my review to 5 stars - the new lamp does exactly what it is meant to do, the bulb quality is fantastic, and I’m really grateful for the support offered by Sansi. Original Review (1 star): Really struggling with this lamp. Had it a short while now and after an incident with it today I thought it fair to write a review. For some reason Amazon isn’t letting me contact Sansi through here to raise it with them (sorry Sansi). Don’t get me wrong, the bulbs themselves are great! I’m not sure if my lamp is just a dud, but there’s a couple of issues I’m having with the actual lamp: 1) The clip/clamp on mine isn’t terribly strong, so much so that if clipped to a vertical surface then it will verrrrry slowly slide down. I’ve tried it on surfaces of differing widths - same problem. I can only get it to clamp to a horizontal surface and stay put. 2) The 3 posable limbs have a very limited range in which they will stay put. I can have all 3 arms standing upright with the bulbs tilted in the direction I’d like, but as soon as I lean the arms in any other direction, they with either fall/flop forwards/down or swing back towards the upright position. Sometimes, they will just swing downwards on their own (more on this in a minute). This makes it really difficult to actually control the direction and of light and the distance from the plant 3) The bulbs get VERY hot. Not a problem in itself, I’ve got a few similar bulbs and know this is expected. The problem is that when this is coupled with the above issues, there is no way I can safely/comfortably leave these lights set on a timer when I’m not at home (or even just not in the room). I’ve had the lamp on this afternoon and it seemed secure in place. Went to go make some food and put a load of washing on and when I came back one of the lamp arms had swung downwards and had left the hot bulb pressing into the substrate of one of my plants (luckily it wasn’t on the plant itself). Another arm had swung against a wooden shelf, and only the third remained in place. Due to the elevated fire risk, risk of cooked plants, I may not be using this lamp again, not at least until I can permanently affix it and its wiggly arms in place somewhere in which I don’t need any flexibility. My other Sansi products are great, and as I said, the bulbs themselves are fab…it’s just the actual lamp causing me grief which is a real shame. There are plenty of great reviews here so it may well be that I just got a faulty product, but it could also be the case that the product design has changed for the worse or perhaps other reviews have been left prematurely and not updated. I don’t know, I’m hopeful mine is just busted.

So good I'm back for another 1
It was more than I wanted to pay for my first grow light but it's made a huge difference to plants in a dark room this winter. You really see the difference in your plants they love it. Easy set up but the clamp is tight and heavy duty, not complaining, it's part of the build quality. Weak hands might struggle but once it's in place just angle the light heads where you want them. Bulbs get hot after hours, so be carful and keep bulbs at least 10cm away from plants to save burning them.

Too heavy for me.
These are very good quality. Very solid, and very good value. But they are so heavy and stiff to set up and to clamp it on to suitable surfaces (2-3cms). I'm 74, female, and still have good strength in my arms, but not so much now in my hands. As such, I found it extremely difficult to open and fit the clamp on. After many attempts, when I did finally manage to clamp it onto a shelf and position the flexible arm, it was too heavy to stay up, and pulled the lights downwards and out of position. It seems they need to be more upright in order for the weight not to pull it down. Regretfully, I had to return them.

Excellent in all regards.
Strong eging grip support, strong flexible light supports and very bright lights. No issues and highly recommended.

Very good product
Works very well, not only is the orange plant surviving but there is new growth and flowers. Last year the lemon plant was nearly dead by now. I only have one citrus plant at the moment so am only using one lamp. It is only on for 3-4hrs most days.

Excellent simply excellent
Simply the best grow lights, a very strong grip to attach so you can direct the light wherever you wish, these are very good bulbs, they come with the promise that if a bulb fails they will replace it upon request. The bulbs do get quite hot, not bursting into flames or smoking, but very hot just be aware Each light has its own switch. These are very sturdy, if you are looking for grow lights theses really are the best. I more than happily recommend these Sansi lightbulbs and holder

Growing plants!
Bought this because I had gone through three money plants and I was determined. At the beginning of winter, my new money plant was heavily dropping leaves due to sudden lack of light. This grow light has literally saved it. It is very bright, can even use it as a lamp! I only use one bulb at a time so I have a spare now which is great. Very easy to use, clips on the side of my desk and it’s of a perfect size.

Not a good light unit, goose necks are too flimsy
Normally Sansi products are pretty good but not this light unit, the goose necks are just too flimsy and you can’t position them right as they just droop down, goose necks need to be firmer and this would be a 5 star

Please note that the electrical connector on this product is a UK style. If you plan to use it in another country, you'll need an adapter. Other than that, the product seems fine.

My plants have never thrived this much! It would be great, though, if each light had its option to place on a separate timer, one, since some plants need less light, but both lights are stuck on the same switch. I know there’s other options but less is more in appearance :) Aside from that, it's flexible and incredibly sturdy. I’m sticking with this brand because I see the value. Thanks for making such a fantastic product! Now, if you could create a wireless, rechargeable, long-lasting battery plant light—now that would be a hit! Or better yet clear cords would be great!

Worth the money, however, bulbs come with lifetime replacement, I'm not sure if it applies to Saudi Arabia?!

Sehr gute und günstige pflanzenlampe, wobei keine wirkliche Wachstumsbeschleunigung sichtbar. Sehr starke und helle Licht.
