UPDATE: I just received three more of these foot pedals. now have 5 which will cover each of my four power tools.Even though I have enough pedals for all the tools, the tools are paired up on benches that have outlet strips on them. As a result, I plug the power strip into one pedal. I keep the tools turned off when I'm not actively using them so I don't accidentally step on the pedal and power them up. I'm only one person so I will never use two tools at the time.I have two tables with tools paired up so I only need the two pedals, but I now have enough to power each tool separately should I separate them or desire to use them independently.Previous review:I bought two of these for my sander and scroll saw. The tool plugs into the plug that plugs into the wall outlet. I like that design since I sometimes prefer not to use the pedal and the plugs are at the outlet.They work great and they are easy to press.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do, well built, veryinexpensive, I use it for the students at a Tech college on a pedestal grinder, perfect size and feel, Works great

Although we had to return, the product is of good quality. We just didn't read carefully to see that you have to hold the pedal down for it to work, like you would a sewing machine. We needed to be able to just click off and on for a different purpose.
