Is this a substitute for aquacel AG advantage??

Areza Antibacterial Alginate with Silver is an alginate based dressing and contains silver as antibacterial. Alginate is the absorptive material in this dressing. In Aquacel Ag Advantage the absorptive component is made from carboxymethyl cellulose. The dressing contains silver as well. It also contains EDTA and benezethonium chloride. In summary both dressings are absorptive and antibacterial. Both category of products can affect biofilm as well. Please ask your wound care specialist for further recommendations.

Why are these so expensive? The price seems overly inflated. With only ten bandages, they’re unaffordable for many people.

The highest level of antibacterial effect is in the first 24 hours and it gradually declines over the next 48 hours. The other factor determines how long to keep the exudate is the amount of exudate.
