Softens clothes with time but is a bit expensive
I have well water for my home. The water has a lot of lime, which is very hard. I am careful to make sure soap is thoroughly rinsed out, but the clothes were still stiff feeling-even clothes that start soft. This product makes a difference in the feel of the clothes, but it is more and more noticeable as you wash the item more than once. It does not noticeably aid in stain removal by just adding it to the washing machine. I haven't tried it as a presoak. My washer is an extra-large tub, so when the tub is full, I found that I have to add 2 scoops to the load. For smaller loads, I adjust accordingly. That makes this booster a bit expensive. I am budget-conscious, but I bought another bag of this even though I think it's expensive.

Cleans well and laundry finally smells fresh
My laundry was smelling mildewy and no amount of cleaning the machine or trying different detergents was helping. I prefer natural detergents without fragrance, but sadly they weren’t getting the job done. I was almost tempted to switch back to the toxic stuff until I read about this! It did the trick! Our clothes don’t smell bad, even the gym clothes, and the whites seem brighter than ever. I am so happy to have found this!

I hate washing my yoga pants!
no one is writing in with my problem!! I love to wear yoga pants when I don't feel like dressing up. I have a lot of stuff from athlete (that costs a fortune to purchase) and if u have EVER READ THE LABEL on clothes that come with wicking or quick dry u know u CANNOT WASH THEM WITH FABRIC SOFTENER!!!!! that said I have to do a separate load of laundry every week just for my socks and these items. 2 days ago I had just about had it when my quick dry capris came out of the wash looking like the photo above. ahhhhhh. now I have to take a wet rag and wipe everything down to get rid of the white. I went online to do some research and there were a bunch of reasons listed.... 1. overfilled washing machine. 2. to much fabric softener. 3. undissolved detergent. 4.to much detergent. 5. clogged water pump. 6. oh and my problem that I didn't know I had HARD WATER. their solutions were to use a 1/2 cup of borax in the wash or switch to a MORE EXPENSIVE DETERGENT like Tide or Persil.... or buy this product. I use purex and I have at least 20 bottles lying around bc it is always bogo, so I didn't want to have to get rid of them all and switch to expensive tide... when has that ever been bogo. thanks tide... anyways I had decided to buy a small bottle of tide and just use it to wash this small load each week and then I read about this product on amazon. what the hell $18 and overnight shipping. so I wasted $18 if it didn't work. who hasn't... I rushed home after working 12 hours to DO LAUNDRY. ok so I used the 1/2 tablespoon they recommended with my CHEAP PUREX in a very small load and these pants above are BLACK AGAIN. no white on them. I wish I could figure out how to add that photo as well but it hasn't transferred over yet from my iCloud... weird... the other pants were so soft that I made my boyfriend stop playing Nintendo to feel them. to b fair they had a few almost not even noticeable spots on them, so next time I will use a full scoop. in the past I wouldn't have even wiped off the white that was left behind on those... that's how little I'm talking about. people r saying to put it int the dishwasher... im going to try that after I wash the dishes that r waiting to b washed later today... no one is mentioning the warning label on amazon though. it says not to consume it bc it could cause cancer... im not going to wash my dishes and then eat off of them with this stuff in it, but I will wash the dishwasher empty with this stuff and c what happens. oh side note... I didn't know I had hard water at my house until a couple of months ago I BROKE ANOTHER SINK FAUCET. and not a cheap 1. that's the 4th 1 since I moved in 15 years ago... 4. I took the inside to a plumbing store to try and get the cartridge replaced. the guy opened it up and said, "lady u got really hard water at ur house." ok so that's why I can't keep a faucet from breaking. if that's the water that is in the kitchen sink... hmm same water going into my dishwasher. dishwasher u will be getting treated to a wash soon. I hope this book I just wrote helps somebody out there. I have been getting pissed off once a week for 2 years now with this problem... y didn't I check the internet sooner. I haven't tried on the clothes yet. someone said that it caused her family ants in the pants, but if I don't have any problems u won't be hearing from me again. oh there's another load of laundry drying rt now... the regular stuff... all I want to do is laundry now...lol

Good stuff!
We tried Charlie's Booster earlier this year, liked it because of it's ability to help with hard water. I went back to other large-label pods but they did not give us what Charlie's does. Definitelynoticed that our washable items were soft and cleaner! We have terrible hard water at our home and so glad we found this! And we feel we are helping the environment at the same time. I gave 4 stars because we feel the packaging could be much better. I bought an air tight container to keep the powder in so we don't have to deal with the bag it comes in. There always seems to be powder on the outside and the zip-lock type of closure is not exactly user friendly.

Works great
We love this stuff; we use it not only in the laundry, but in the RV tanks to help keep them cleaner. It's expensive, but it dissolves easily & takes up less room for the same effectiveness of other water-softeners.
