UPDATE: October 1, 2024 -- It's starting to get cool last night, so although there are still about a dozen Mosquitos hanging off of vertical surfaces this morning, the Buzbug zapper did get about another half-dozen more Mosquitos, overnight. The UV LED's are great, not only attracting small moths, flying beetles, a kind of Black Gnat, but also the Mosquitos, it's not too bright to the Human Eye, so my neighbors have not complained about it's brightness. Halloween's coming, end of this month, so we'll see whether Climate Change has had any effect on our Weather here. I do go out of my way to be sure there are no Pools of Water anywhere for the Mosquitos to Lay Eggs and Breed, to produce more of them. We have Wild Cotton Tail Rabbits and Coyotes here too, so even if the Mosquitos cannot Drill/Bite me, they do go after anything that emits Body Heat, CO2, and has Red Blood, to Bite them (they Drill into their Eye Lids), and same thing with Snakes too (emit CO2), to Suck Their Blood, to get the Blood Proteins needed for their Eggs to Develop into Egg Rafts they lay in any Pool of Water. Only takes a Tablespoon Full of Water to get their Eggs developing into "Wigglers". So far, the Weather's contined to be quite Dry,. hopefully staying that way into Winter. I'm quite happy with the Buzbug ZAPPER. Reliable, and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzap... !!!The outer metal cage keeps the Bigger Flying Insects out, so I haven't had anything Big, get Stuck and Cooking Away. It's been real hot last week, and I noticed there are a lot of Mosquitos flying around my Car Port, BITING ME as I walked from my car, to my Back Door, and a few even managed to follow me into my house, and are BITING ME inside my house. I don't see any more Mosquitos, so my Buzbug Zapper's been only inside my house, killing the last of some kind of very small flying Black Gnats, about 1mm - 2mm in size, that I think managed to get in past my window screens. I'm keeping all my windows closed, because it's cold, and the Buzbug Zapper's been snappping away, killing off the remaining Black Gnats still inside.I leave it on 24/7, to kill the daytime fliers too. It's becoming less and less kills, so I am very pleased with this Buzbug KILLER protecting me.At 30,000+ lifetime hours, being "ON" 24/7, should last another 3+ years, for pennies of AC Power Cost. I even like the Purple UV Color telling me it's "ON DUTY" too, so that's an additional benefit. :o)

I purchased this for outside, hoping to help with mosquitoes. But it has been so hot outside, and I was having problems with fruit flies, I decided to bring it indoors ... and it works great! I hear it zapping each time it gets one, and my little grandsons and I will sing, "And another one's gone, another one's gone, another one bites the dust" ... lol.The brightness is a nice blue light, and it works well even sitting under the lamp. It is easy to clean; you just remove the tray and dump out the dead bugs. For easy to use, plug it in, turn it on. It is lightweight yet does a powerful job. No more fruit flies pestering us.

This is a GREAT MODEL of a Bug Zapper !!!!! It "CAN" be used OUTSIDE or INSIDE . I liked it so well I bought another while Prime Day was on !!! This brand REALLY WORKS !!! They are so effective !!! Fun to use when bugs get zapped !!! "POP" !!! Great company !!! No smell of bugs getting zapped !!! The company is "BUZ BUG" !!!!! It has two color of lights to draw the bugs to it !!! Bug zapper that actually zaps bugs, novel concept. It don’t kill all the bugs but definitely hear it working overnights. What would make this better, mosquito attractant included and a dusk/dawn sensor. Reason it’s not a 5 star in my book.

Best bug zapper ever! Some find the shocking sound disturbing but I find it to be a symphony to my ears.. cause unlike other zappers, I know this is actually doing what it’s suppose to do. Plugged it I. The backyard for one day and the whole thing was caked with bugs luckily dive they get zapped so good the remains simply brush right off. Simple and effective. Worth every penny!

Worked so well I bought another! Very audible "crack!" when a bug is zapped (so much so, it startled us the first few times!) so you know it's working. Easy to clean tray underneath to empty crispy bugs (if they don't go flying from the zap!) & the cord is a great length for hanging this under our gazebo. It works just as well sitting on the floor as it does hanging & has a flat, stable bottom so as not to tip over easily. The outside grid protects fingers or nosy dogs from getting zapped but is big enough for large flies to enter, but small enough to keep beneficial dragonflies out. Great UV bug-attracting light. Coming up on peak bug season, hence the 2nd order. We have 1 inside & one outside to cover our bases. Great value product!

Don't buy this unless you're ready to accept the fact that...there are ALREADY bugs in your home. I originally putchased this for the back patio; however, Within a few SECONDS of me plugging it in, I heard a loud ZAP-ZAP, ZAP and it scared the F out of me. So now I need another one for outside 👀 note: its VERY loud so be mindful of where you put it. It is the MOST effective when its dark but works during the day without skipping a beat

Works great!First used it within the house for 2 nights and it zapped a few times doing its job (it collected some gnats). Unfortunately the zapping is a tad loud and was bothering my dogs (they were startled by it). So I moved it outside in my yard by my patio door. It zapped so frequently on my patio that my dogs could still hear it inside the house and they became startled even more. So I unplugged the machine brought it in the house & let the dogs sniff it while I verbally reassured them it was a “good machine” and after a few sniffs and reassurance, I took it back out plugged it in and the zaps resumed but fortunately the dogs seem to be less concerned with it now.I was shocked yet pleased to see how much insects it zapped outside. It works so well for me that I plan to buy some as gifts for my family!
