Q: Can I use this to bathe instead of bathing soap in the shower?

This is great stuff for dry skin & I find it a life saver in winter when the skin on my hands is splitting.I think it would be ineffective & wasteful to try & apply this under running water so I suggest you stand under the shower, wet your whole body, apply the Emollient to all parts of your skin then put the shower back on & massage the emollient off. It will use a lot up but if your skin is sore, it will be a great treat for it. B. W.

All emollients contain liquid paraffin which over a period of time can get into your clothes and bedding. There has been a number of cases where some people have had fires start due to naked . Now all emollient manufacturers are required to put this warning on their products by law. The risk has always been there and currently about 1 million packs of enollients are dispensed every month in England alone all of which contain paraffin. The aproderm range does have aproderm colloidal oat which is paraffin free if you wanted to try that.

Q: can you use this on your scalp ?

You can certainly use the gel version on your scalp and as the gel has the same ingredients as the cream it should be fine. But do not apply to infected areas of the skin and smooth gently in the direction of any hair.
