With a big freeze coming to Texas I bought this sensor to stick in my outdoor water softener enclosure so I can ensure it doesn't freeze & explode like previous years. For the price I wasn't expecting much. I just needed a sensor that does the following:1. Monitors the temperature for remote viewing via a cell phone app = Mission accomplished2. Be somewhat accurate so I can keep my softener above freezing = Seems to be ok.3. Let me set alerts for certain thresholds = Yup good-to-go here4. Allow me to trigger others smart home devices (aka a smart plug controlled heater) = FailOddly enough this device does do integration with Alexa, IFTT, Google Assistant, and other "smart" orchestration applications however it only passes the humidity value to be used for logic conditions. This blocks the ability to do basic logic based on temperature such as IF temperature reading LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO X-degrees THEN turn on smart plug with heater attached. You could do the same logic with humidity reading but that's not quite what I need.Overall for a $12 sensor can't complain. If you just want to view & alert on temperature conditions it's pretty solid. I may end up buying a few more for my refrigerators / freezers to ensure they stay within spec. If they issue a software update that allows the push of temperature to the smart orchestration platforms this thing would be perfect.

Bought this to monitor temp on my small enclosed patio. I live alone in south florida, and work as a chef, so when I come home at night I want my condo to be like the walk-in cooler at work. I was able to use the smart life app in connection with some smart plugs from another brand to use this thermometer as a thermostat for a window AC unit to cool off my patio, which is my smoking area. Automation features in the app work flawlessly if you pay attention and program the scene correctly. It can get to over 110 degrees out in that room without climate control, so being able to automate that AC unit has been a life saver. Also helps me to save power by not having to run it unless needed. Great product, great app.

worked very well for a month and now cant get it to connect to the wifi..tried everything..reseting modem..router...and the sensor itself...even put the sensor next to the router to see if its signal issue but nope...shame because it was really nice and had great features

i had pretty low expectations because this wifi thermometer is so inexpensive. of the 3 brands i purchased, one threw a lot of problems when trying to connect the app to the 'hub' (i see now benefit to having the thermometers connect to a hub that then connects to wifi, but that was how one of the 3 was supposed to work). of the 2 that connected to wifi easily, the other brand often reverts to celcius. this little "no name' thermometer, however, works perfectly. so i will be buying more to monitor other properties, for sure.

The product works well with the app. However, there is no connection to Alexa. I'm very disappointed as this was the main reason I selected this product. I hope that they will correct the software so we will be able to ask Alexa to report the temperatures. The humidity reading does get passed to Alexa, but you cannot create a routine where you can give a voice command and get either of the values. I am also disappointed that there doesn't seem to be any way of contacting the manufacturer about this problem.

Easy to use and does the basic functions I need. I can remote monitor the temperature at our cabin and see if the temperatures get to low

Alexa will not display the temperature, only the humidity displays. Both Alexa and the Smart Life apps displays are very small. This is an easy update in their app program. Other wise I find the device displays accurate readings.

Picked this one as it mentioned Tuya and other compatibility as I need to connect to them to get the temperature using python and turn my heat pump off. I did have to register the device and enable it on the Tuya cloud and could not connect via a local IP (it does not have one) but the cloud works fine and reliable. I have given it 5 stars as the temperature reading is more accurate than my heat pump one and seems real time plus I can get data out via API. Battery lasts well, must be over 6 months it's still going.

Apparaten heeft geen constante verbinding. Updates van de temperatuur en rv worden niet altijd gezien. Daardoor is het apparaat niet geschikt om signalen te geven - met routines in Google home - aan bijvoorbeeld je airconditioning.In de routinemaker van Google home, kun je ook niet de gemeten temperatuur als starter gebruiken, want daarin geeft Google alleen de vochtigheid als mogelijkheid.
