It's ok. It took the edge off my loopy rescue dog for a while and made him bearable. It actually made the difference between keeping him and sending him back. However, after a while he seemed to get used to it so I only use it now in stressful situations like if I'm going to be away and I shall use it on Bonfire Night etc.

My nutter of a rescued GSD has been taking this every day for several years now (about 3). Although it's not something that has an almost immediate effect (like myself taking a Paracetamol for a headache) it most definitely has an effect. I've been giving it to him with his food as a supplement at the recommended dose, slightly less some of the time, so as to make it go a little further. Over time he has mellowed considerably, and became as close to calm as he was ever going to get. I have researched the ingredients and their effects in the past and am quite happy that whilst having a calming effect, some of the ingredients are also beneficial to his general health and well-being. As he is now somewhere between 12-14 years old, his age has had an impact on his mobility and also on his 'enthusiasm' in certain situations, so I have recently stopped using it. Whilst there hasn't been a dramatic negative effect, or a complete return to his previous state, I have most definitely noticed his anxiety/stress/heightened sensory levels return to some degree. I'm regretting stopping using it, so am most likely to buy some more and start again. In the meantime I have purchased some holistic treats that contain similar calming ingredients, so we're giving those a whirl for now. I'd certainly recommend this based on my own experience, however they're all different and what works for some may not necessarily work for others. It isn't a quick fix, you don't give them a spoon full on November 5th and expect them to sleep all evening when they've always been petrified of fireworks. What it does do is gradually bring their anxieties down to a much more manageable level, helping us all to cope better!

I've been giving Tranquility Gold for about 6 weeks to my adolescent lurcher who is extremely reactive to dogs and has been attacked by dogs a number of times. He had become so stressed and frightened at the sight of another dog that doing any work with him became impossible as he was unable to focus on me.I noticed a difference in him within a week of adding it to his food, and now after 6 weeks he is calm enough to work with. He is becoming a lot less reactive with other dogs, less distracted on walks, and is generally very chilled around the house, without being drowsy or dopey.Follow up: stopped using Tranquility Gold after a few months, but put him back on it when the reactivity increased again. Slightly concerned about longer term use due to the cider vinegar content so may try the dry herbs instead.

Tried using it daily to help my jack Russell who is hyper on walks and cannot cope if other dogs come near. Unfortunately he has not improved at all. He also hates the taste and runs away when I get the bottle out. So this one is not for him.

We have been using this for a few months now. We noticed an improvement in her in under a week. She started having panic attacks that were lasting 2 hours before trying this. Within a week she was having less attacks that lasted for only 15-20 mins. We are now at the point where she has less than 1 attack in 2 weeks. I am glad that we gave this a chance as it has made a huge improvement in her quality of life.

I had given up on my dog he barked none stop could not walk him or even let him out the garden without him none stop barking even in the house he would bark none stop. we tried this and he is now a completely different dog, so calm so content walking him is a pleasure I can let him out in the garden and he can now go to training classes around other dogs plus its healthy for your dog great stuff highly recommended if you have a nervous dog.

It didn't work for my dog,it stank like hell and I had to force her to take it,the poor little thing still shook and panted with stress on New Year's Eve,I was up all night with her,and out to work early the next morning,very tired

I think that it is working on my small dog ,she is 10yrs old ,and has always been quite nervous..with people and other dogs.so much that sometimes if another dog came up to her .she would go for the other dog..i think though she was frightened ..the dogs aways seemed to be large ones like labradors..i have been giving her the tranquility for about 6 months now..i am on the 2nd bottle.and she seems alot more calmer..really pleased..the delivery is fast too..
