Magisterium: The Bronze Key: 3 (The Magisterium, 3) : Black, Holly, Clare, Cassandra: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Delightful read - Incredible! Really loved this book and the subsequent books that come after it. I initially got it due to Casandra Clare, as I love her mortal instrument series (I would recommend you buy those books too) but you slowly get sucked into a world full of magic and mystery and can’t help wanting to know more. I have now read all of the books and I am so excited for the latest book to come out later this year!! Review: The bronze key - This one was more interesting all the way through. It kept you guessing till the end . Did not expect the twist.

Fantastic book
Great 3rd book, very much loved by my 9 year old (voracious reader) who also loves Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, Skullduggery, Rangers Apprentice Series. He would rate these as easier than Harry Potter but the series so far had been very much read and reread.

Read in one sitting
Read in one sitting my by 15 year old daughter. Although I did get told off for buying the paperback version as the first one in the series she has is hardback! She is a huge fan of Rick Riordan, David Eddings and all things magical, godly etc so this new series is perfect for her.

Predictable, but Fun!
A fun and quirky Middle Grade novel. I found the plot twists rather predictable, but there was enough adventure and snark for me to enjoy it! The ending was also really good!

Interesting setting, little characterisation.
While the setting of this series as a whole had promise, the characters lacked any real depth. The motivation for the behaviour is either obvious from the start, as in the case of the antagonist or very vague and leading to little emotional involvement in the case of the central three characters. An interesting concept that could have been handled with much more finesse.

Now THIS is what I mean when I say I want books to be sent securely. The packaging fit perfectly around the book and was even held in place via extra strips of carton. Very satisfied!

I like this series because it is written well, with unespected turns. The end left me speechless and sad. I prefer to read series when they are out completely because now there is a long wait until next September.

This book had so many turns and I just couldn't put it down! I got so excited and curious. I wanted to find out who the spy was so badly and when it turned out to be Alex I was chocked, but at the same time it all made perfectly sense. Alex is a crazy guy, there's no other word to describe him, he is nuts! I really enjoyed seeing Call learn more about Chaos magic and Constantine. I still would love to learn more about his past, it seems very important and interesting. Now I need to say that the ending totally crushed my soul, there was no need to kill Aaron! I loved Call, Tamara and Aaron's friendship, and I'm so sad, still doesn't feel real that he's dead. Anastasia's secret really surprised me, I wasn't expecting her to (not be Anastasia) and in fact be Constantine's mother. This book is great, I myself am a Fantasy books lover and magic is something I adore. It fulfilled all my expectations! I'm going to start the next book tomorrow.

By the time my 13-year-old got to The Bronze Key, he was fully invested in the Magisterium series—and this book did not disappoint. It’s darker, moodier, and full of shocking twists that had him practically yelling, “WHAT?!” at the pages. (If a book can pull a middle schooler away from YouTube, you know it’s doing something right.) This third installment dives deeper into the challenges of loyalty, betrayal, and figuring out who you can trust—a relatable theme for any 13-year-old navigating friendships and middle school drama. The pacing is fast, the stakes are high, and the characters continue to grow in ways that keep kids hooked. If your kid has stuck with the series this far, The Bronze Key will make them want to sprint to the next book. It’s gripping, emotional, and keeps the magical mayhem going strong. Perfect for teens who love a good mystery wrapped in magic!
