This was a bargain set for me, at £9.99 I got it on a deal day.I’d been wanting to try Beetles for a while so this was the perfect opportunity. I’m impressed, very impressed.Yes, they are small bottles, only 5ml each colour, but for home manicures they’re a perfect size.They are thicker than some other brands, and in some cases only one colour coat is necessary (with all nail polish, thin coats are always advisable to avoid wrinkling, peeling, chipping, and of course the burning sensation when curing under UV because it’s been applied too thickly!)I was going on holiday and I wanted a manicure that would last at least two weeks without any repairs or intervention from me. I also wanted to avoid the regrowth gap that can appear as the nail grows and the gel ‘grows out’ with it, so I created this polka dot look with just a clear base. The dots were made with 7 colours from the set, fixing each colour before adding the next so they didn’t bleed into each other and I could overlap them. The gold was just the occasional piece of round confetti. To create a smooth finish I used the base coat again over the colour coats, which also fixed the confetti in place, and finished with the No wipe clear top coat.These lasted over 3 weeks, I didn’t want to take them off, so when I got home I did a quick surface file, smoothing out the regrowth area, and reapplied the top coat down to my cuticle edge. In the end I removed them after 30 days, but only because my nails were so long they were becoming cumbersome and I needed to cut them, but they may well have lasted another week to ten days.I can see from other reviews that some people have had an allergic reaction to some polishes in the range. With all cosmetic products (not just hair dye) patch tests are important, in addition when applying gel polish it is imperative to avoid prolonged contact with skin and cuticles, clean away any excess before curing.

I love these!!! The colours are lovely are really vivid, easy to use nice consistency, although the top coat is quick thick and sticky so you need to be careful with that. Cured quickly and and look lovely sorry photo really doesn't do them justice and my application wasn't the best as I didn't have the best light to do it, will do it in the day next time or in a much better light. All in all really happy and looking forward to getting some more :)

Vivid colours, but bottles are tiny! Product is very thick and difficult to work when cold, so be sure to use in a warm room.

I’m rubbish at doing my left hand nails but these are fabulous! The trick is to put a thin layer on and cure under the curing lamp for 60 seconds. The gels are thick but just swirl the brush in circular motions and voila. Practice makes perfect

The product is eeally good it doesn't peel off and the coverage is really really good. The application is really smooth and drys really smoothly

I developed a reaction to gel varnish after doing my own nails for about a year. I heard good reviews about this brand, and the varnish does not disappoint! I do not have an allergic reaction! The colours are beautiful, and the varnish seems to last as well as the Mylee brand does.
