This is just incredible. An amazing telescope for an amazing price. Got this for my husband as a gift and he just loves it. An excellent buy for a first telescope or those on a budget. You won't be disappointed, trust me!

It's pretty great for a beginner
The Barlow is doo doo but the 20mm and 4mm eyepieces are pretty okay-ish, the telescope itself is quite good for a price just under 100$

Excellent for short exposure Astrophotography
This 60mm telescope is great for astrophotography (for imaging the moon and a few planets). As the focal ratio is f/15, it is of a good Conrady standard, which means that there is no chromatic aberration (CA). This is very important when doing astrophotography. It's excellent when taking pictures with the Celestron NexImage imager as the imager is rather light. I don't use a digital camera but I think if using a small digital camera (which is usually heavier than the Celestron NexImage imagers), you may need to adjust the counterweight to re-balance the telescope first. That's just a thought though as I do not use a digital camera, so have not seen how well it performs with it in practice. (p/s: for those not familiar with the Conrady standard, you can google "chromatic aberration chart") . Overall, an excellent telescope for those doing short exposure astrophotography with the use of imagers.

A great Birthday present....
The order arrived on time and intact, as always with Amazon. It was a "toy" for a big boy (adult late '40's) and he is very pleased with it. He assembled it in no time, no missing parts. He is an amateur with theses devices but he is quickly learning to find his way across the night sky. We're waiting for cooler and clearer evenings then I will join him...says it will be an over-niter. He's excited to share what he has found and what he can see; particularly the moon, the evening star and other discoveries. Actually, the Celestron 21043 is of a much higher quality than I expected so read the critical reviews carefully.
