Nice product & price
Retiring as an Army 1SG makes me somewhat of an expert. I haven’t given it a full blown test yet but it seems to exceed my military issued poncho.

Maybe over built for my needs
It’s definitely more than just your typical rain poncho you’d get from the bog box stores. There’s actually a “rubber” like lining material on the inside of the poncho and a good amount of tie off eyelets around for use as a tarp. What I’m not sold on is the “polyester” like shell material. I feel like after a long soak in the rain, it might actually start to soak to that material and make it heavier than needed for hiking around in. I have used it in the rain and it repelled water very well and kept me dry like the Mohave desert. I guess it just depends on how you’re going to use it and for how long you plan to use it for. For me, it’s just for use around the house as well as my walk to work to keep me dry. For that purpose, I think it does a good job but wold have rather seen it made of a nylon rip-stop material.

Larpers
Got it for my girlfriend to use at a larp event (90% outdoors rain or shine). We both love the Material. I'm considering replacing mine with this one when I get paid again.

Well made
Sturdy and well made. Flexible applications because of the provided tie downs. I bought it as a rain poncho where it should excel.

No rip stop
Out in the woods you will get rips sooner or later. Then it goes from keeping you dry to garbage you have to carry around until you can safely dispose of it.

Well made.
This is light weight and sturdy. I used it in a heavy rain and it did a great jod keeping me dry. The hood is adequate sized and has a draw string. Big enough to cover my 6’ 5” 50” waist.

Believe the Bad Reviews!!!
I don’t get it. There are tons of positive reviews on this poncho. The only thing I can think of is these people never actually wore the thing in the actual rain. The good: it looks good, good camo pattern, it has the appearance and feel of being quality made. The reality: after only 30 minutes in LIGHT rain, the inside was starting to get damp. The rain progressed to fairly heavy, and after another 30 minutes I was SOPPING wet. This poncho utterly fails at the one thing it’s supposed to be good at! It is not hyperbole to say that I legitimately think I would have been better off under a black trash bag. I have had better success with the cheap $1 plastic ponchos. I will be requesting a return.

Worth the money
Seems like it will stand up to the elements. Worth it.
