No squealing
The last set of cheapo pads for Avid Elixir I bought squealed horrendously. These don't. They have also worked perfectly on some big long descents. Not had them long enough to test longevity yet. The backing plate is slightly thinner than some which means fitting them is easier, although I still had to bleed a drop or two of fluid off (from that tiny torx bolt on the handlebar lever) to stop them rubbing when first fitted. They don't come with a pin.

The bikers buddy
Brilliant brake, nice price. Clarks are the go to guys for this type of product. A multiple purchase has you quids in and not searching for replacements as you have purchsed a stock - and they do not take up any space. Don't take a break from this brake, it is the bikers buddy.

Great product, perfect for the British trails
Nice quiet pad with a good bite, idea for British XC/ trail riding. Wear rate seems good too.

Work perfectly well, at a fraction of the cost of the originals
I commute to work 3-4 days a week, with a daily round trip of 28 miles. These work just fine on my Boardman hybrid and are much cheaper than the originals. For that reason I can't fault them at all. As far as durability is concerned, no problems there either, although I do not use them off-road in more extreme conditions. Also, if you want/need the cotter pins that hold the pads in place (i.e. you can't reuse the ones that are already in situ), note that they are not included in this pack.

Good brake pads
Good brake pads. However the avid elixir 1 brake discs are horrendous. The plastic pistons are terrible. Do yourself a favour and get yourself brake calipers with metallic pistons.

Can't believe the price on these pads
Took a chance on these as the original pads are so expensive. So far so good . Been riding for a month or so and had no issues

These are junk - they wore out before the first day was out - lasted less than 100KM
I used these on my Giant Revolt on a gravel ride across the Yorkshire moors - they didn't even last the day. I've attached a photo. I was braking a lot but all the same they should have lasted longer than half a ride. They may be suitable for a road ride assuming there is no mud or grit as I think this accelerated the ware. Disappointed as I like Clarks as a brand.

Funciona correctamente . Además es una marca que me gusta bastante. Las volvería a comprar sin problemas, si si si

Works great and very easy to install. Very quiet unlike the stock brakes.

Squeal like no other brake pads I've tried before.

I put them on the rear, and it is to soon to comment on longevity but they seem great! Avid price boarder on extortion so I was really happy to find these guys at a reasonable cost. My buddy has the same pads on his front and seems happy with their performance. Even if they don't last it's so easy to change these pads and then are so cheap who cares? (Besides their low cost I have no reason to believe they won't last as long as brand name pads). Get em!

I usually don't write reviews, but these are so bad I felt obligated to write one. I installed them and followed the break-in process as described in the instructions. Mid-way through by first ride, they started to generate a high-pitch squeal. I sanded the glaze off and tried the break-in process again - no luck. I would recommend looking at the Brake Authority version of these available from MEC. Way better, and only a few bucks more.
