Hikari Instant Miso soup with Tofu 8 Servings (Pack of 2)

Noone I have treated this to has liked it... it looks and tastes and smells like "old socks in dishwater", apparently.However I absolutely love it. Really genuine umami fish taste with lots of garnish. Therefore I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless they know they have a taste for this kind of flavour (or expect they might develop one). If you do, definitely try this miso.Also, this isnt a soup you make in a standard soup bowl or a mug like a cup-a-soup. Its a small soup and you only need a small amount of water. I dont recommend using extra packets to double the volume either, because its a strong flavour and should be eaten in its correct quantity. Buy a miso soup bowl or a tiny side-dish bowl.

It's okay

I gave it 4 stars out of 5 because the tofu is very tiny and tasteless, the soup taste is nice, definitely fishier than other instant miso soups.

I had been ordering Itsu miso paste but this is a hundred times nicer. I love the seaweed and spring onion garnish. This soup kills my appetite at lunch time. Excellent value too.

I bought this brand as its the same brand as the ones my friend bought from Japan.Good flavour, very authentic taste.

Genuine Japanese product, so very authentic with the seaweed and tofu. Very similar to homemade/fresh miso soup you're served in a Japanese restaurant. Great value for the price, too. Give it a go - yummy!
