Great all-in-one packabale dry sack backpack
A great all-in-one packable dry sack backpack that offers great flexibility for travel. Quality of the front zipper is excellent, it is also covered by a rain flap, and resists water intake when raining. The chest clip for the bag straps can be adjusted by threading it through different holes. Certainly on the more pricey side for packable backpacks, but Osprey delivers well thought out design and quality as with all their bags.Laughing at reading all the customer reviews that don't know what a dry sack is and are saying the top doesn't close 😂

Best portable dry bag
I bought this for the El Camino De Santiago pilgrimage in Spain. The bag is light as a feather, fully waterproof, and compresses into itself. It’s perfect for when you’re going to grab small groceries out in town. It’s also great for traveling in the airport and you need an extra day bag for extra space. Also good for going on a day hike, stuff a sweater or raincoat plus whatever else you want to take with you. Has two water bottle holders that stretch out to keep your bottles in place. The smaller bag has two separate compartments to keep your keys and wallet on one side and other things (flashlights, knives, multi tools) on the other. The thing I like most about this bag is that when I go hiking on certain trails out in Utah, sometimes you need to swim across a portion of the trail. The dry bag not only keeps your junk dry, but it also works as a flotation device. I usually keep it on my back and I lean back as a pillow on the water and kick with my legs. It’s a great all around day bag whether on the dirt trail or concrete jungle.

A Soft Ball Sized Waterproof Portable Backpack for Travelers
While about 1.5 times the volume in hand when "enfolded", this waterproof version of Osprey's ultralight stuff pack is only 0.44# versus 0.33# in weight. It also holds 20L versus 18L. (I have and use both.)Of course, both styles aren't intended to be heavily loaded daypacks or backpacks, but are wonderful additions to the luggage of any traveler who might intend to take a day long walk in an urban or outdoor location while on holiday, allowing carrying an added layer or two, a few important items, lunch perhaps, and a bottle of water or two. This version gives assurance of being water-proof since access to the interior is protected. The "standard" ultralight stuff pack's zipper is exposed, so, in a HEAVY rain, water can permeate and enter the interior. The material of both packs is waterproof, so I imagine that a waterproofing/waxing of the standard stuff pack's zipper and supporting fabric would improve that pack's rain resistance even more. For me, the "standard" Osprey Ultralight Stuff Pack is a no-brainer always take item, with just-in-case use and optional short outings in fair weather in view. This water-proof version, on the other hand, is taken when intentional use during trips of many days of whatever weather happens is a part of the plan.

Light weight
Great light-weight pack, perfect for short hikes. Extremely light and plenty of room for everything you need. The only downside side is the chest strap. It is located way too high and chokes me while wearing it. If I cinch the shoulder straps all the way, it isn’t bad, but if I try to wear them normally, the chest strap is at my throat. Not sure if it’s a me-thing, I’m a big guy so might not be an issue for smaller folks.

Amazing strength, and durability
I purchased this pack for a trip to Italy, because a travel blogger recommended it as a supplemental day pack. I tested it out before our trip and was amazed by how comfortable the straps were for a petite woman or a tall man. It is amazingly lightweight and compact as advertised, but it held rain gear for two people and two metal water bottles with ease and the prospect for more. The top closure, although seemingly awkward, was actually very well designed for adjustable height of contents and to keep water resistant. We were surprised to have been caught in a downpour and none of our contents got wet. Absolutely recommend!

Perfect size
Great value for the cost. A little flimsy but worked great for our needs. Plenty of space and water resistant.

Great quality
These are really nice material and work well when needed during hiking. They can be packed into a drawstring bag when not needed.

awesome day pack! great value for money too.
love it lots! super packable so when i went for a 3 week trip through europe, i tossed it in the luggage with little weight or size penalty. I used this as a day pack instead of my regular pacsafe which I use on the plane when i need to lug the tablets etc.it's light and waterproof so its just right for keeping your extra heavy stuff like your powerbank, umbrellas and snacks which wont fit in your pocket.word to the wise- dont put your wet umbrellas in the main pocket use the side pockets instead. wet stuff will of course stay wet inside the waterproof bag making everything else inside the bag soggy. - dont ask me why i know *rolls eyes*fortunately drying is a snap. just flip it over and dry it when you get home.caveat- although this is difficult to open by thieves and the like due to the roll and snap top, i wouldn't really call this bag "slash proof" so keep your passport and other valuables elsewhere just in case yeah?
