the fabric is pretty stretchy and very soft - so texture wise great for kids with sensory issues. comes with a heavy metal ceiling plate. the hardest part of putting it together has been the giant screws it comes with; it does not work with a standard drill.

I can see how this soothes anxiety. The material feels so silky soft. But I don't like how these hang. It doesn't feel safe to me the way the ends are just tied and looped together. I can see the material already shrinking/slipping at the ends. It will drop someone for sure no matter what they weigh. My husband is going to put the ends together permanently. After that, I'm sure my granddaughter will love swinging around in this.

I got this for a little autistic boy - 6 years old and nonverbal. Adult assembly is required. Everything is included, but the instructions aren’t very easy to understand and follow. I managed (after a few misfires) to get the swing together with the straps and carabiner, and it seems to be very sturdy. The swing or hammock is light and silky but seems very strong, especially when bunched up or layered. Unfortunately, however, I couldn’t find a thick enough beam to install it in the ceiling. It will have to be used outside only. Luckily there’s a swing set frame and a clothesline base we can attach it to.That would be my only admonition: make sure you have sufficient ceiling support before you install it indoors or in a garage. Otherwise, it’s well made, includes all of the necessary hardware, and is reasonably priced.

I was really nervous about hanging this swing inside for my son. Finding a secure place to put it that wouldn't be too high off the ground for a seven year old was very stressful. Luckily, this swing came with super strong bolts and fastener equipment for hanging the swing. The instructions suggested hanging the swing in a doorway. Hanging the swing in the doorway of his bedroom kept it from being too high off the ground, and the process used to anchor the swing in securely was reassuring, and effective. My son has hung out in this swing at least once a day for over a year now. It helps him calm down, concentrate, and self-regulate. Sometimes he swings. Other times he curls up like he is in a cocoon, and reads a book, or sings a song. Sometimes, he'll come up and say, "Mommy, we need to talk". Then he leads me back to the swing, hands me a book, and says, "You first". Lol. This swing has been an amazing tool for my son in so many ways. I absolutely recommend this for children with sensory processing difficulties. But please stay with your child while they are using this swing. It can be an excellent sensory tool as long as it is used safely.

This is an awesome indoor swing for any age kid! 10 year olds as well as smaller kids all love it! The kids call it their hammock because you can completely wrap yourself inside of it and sleep in it as in the hammock. We tried 80lbs pound weight and this material holds great.The installation is pretty easy but we did change the mounting bracket because the one it comes with requires 4 mounting positions. No joist I know of will be wide enough to accommodate the 4 hole square mounting position, so we ordered this 2 screw hanger to see if it would work. It works great as you can see on the pictures!The only concern we have is how much weight our joist can hold as this is an older house and who knows what they rated them in those days. I will spray paint it white and it will almost be unnoticeable on the ceiling if you need to remove the swing at some point. The swing actually comes out very easily and takes only one carabiner to unclip it. Everyone is very happy with this new addition, and of course, especially the kids!

The material is silky smooth but much thinner then I expected. Despite how it seems it is still quite strong. My kids really liked it but the fabric rips to easily and was quickly covered in runs. We still got a lot of use out of it before the holes and runs in the fabric became to great.

This nylon fabric used for a sensory swing, and hardware needed for install are all included in a nice zipper bag with instructions. Be careful you "Reae" the instructions carefully before "useing"!The pretty blue nylon fabric is sheer, very stretchy and, has unfinished edges. In my opinion you could just go local and buy all these separately so I'm not convinced that the price is quite right.Would make a nice gift. Will definitely need a sturdy beam to install to prevent injury or falling.

I think I will get the best grandma ever award! The kids sure do want to come over to my house a lot more than they used to LOL! I absolutely love this swing I placed it in my house so far but I do intend this summer to take it outside for them it's just amazing they do like to spin around in it get dizzy and then that's crazy LOL it's sturdy it comes with all of the hardware to put it up it seems like it's going to be durable unless quite some time but my grandkids are from 2:00 to 12:00 and they're not really testing out its durability! I think these swings and the pod swings are amazing my autistic grandson has the pod and for him that's better the open one is more for the older kids they absolutely love it and it gets me time with my grandkids I think it's a great purchase the great value I will suggest to my friends and family
