It Look as if 2 types of wood have been used in manufacturing. It wasn't obvious at first. But as soon as i applied oil, the onlays took on 2 different tones and the join line became clear. Not an issue if you want to paint or leave bare. But if you want to apply an oil finish it will show up. I may have got unlucky and this could just be a one off, but its Still worth taking into consideration if an oil finish is what you want.

Having loathed the sight of a cheap veneered chipboard fire surround, I decided to change it’s appearance. These were easy to apply and burst into life with a dab of paint. I love them 🖤

I ordered the MUXSAM Rose Wood Carved Applique to add a decorative touch to an old cabinet project, and overall, I’m very happy with it. The craftsmanship is beautiful—the intricate carving really gives it that classic, handmade look I was going for. The wood itself feels sturdy and high quality, and the design adds a lot of charm once installed. I was not entirely sure about the quality when ordered but it met the expectations. I painted it red to match the center piece which is also from the same seller.
