Use my GoPro for a number of different applications. Mostly used to record my daughter's softball games. With the GoPro not moving there is not a lot of air flow and the battery doesn't last long enough for a game. I use a USB cable and external battery for power. This battery door allows me to power the GoPro via a USB cord and external battery. When I do this I don't install a battery and I have the option to use the door closed or not at all. Helps keep the GoPro cooler on warm days. Seems to be durable, easy to install and works well for my application. Good value to your money.

This worked great for what I needed it for. I needed to watch and record a machine to catch the issue when it came up as we couldn't duplicate the problem manually. As we all know, the battery life of a GoPro is not stellar. This let me run it for as long as I needed to catch the problem in normal operation. BUT BEWARE! It will get your GoPro HOT! After about 45min, I lost contact with mine (I was wifi connected to my phone) when it shut down to cool down. And that was with it running without a battery installed. I haven't tried it again with a battery yet. The magnetic plug held nice and tight too.

Good quality and a great addition to my GoPro so it can be plugged in while in used without the battery door being open. The opening for the charger is a little restricting and only allows for certain charging cords, great design other than that.

This is a good product. I couldn’t leave it on and put it in my waterproof scuba case. So it’s easier just to switch the batteries out. But if you’re not putting it in a waterproof case. Then you can just let it on all the time. Works well.

Fits my GoPro Hero 12 Perfectly. With this cover on, the camera in no longer water proof. There is an opening that allows you to attach an external battery via a cable. This also allows you to charge the camera without taking the door off. Glad I bought it!

Excellent, I accidently bent the attachment point a little on the original so it would fall off whenever it was opened to change the battery. Though it still worked, it not holding on when opened was a bit of a pain and this replacement worked beautifully on my GOPRO 10. This has the little pass through opening for external charging.
