Bad and good
Despite the reviews stating quality issues, I chose this option over no-name Amazon brands, to support a U.S. based company.As we were setting it up for the very first time, the buckle for the strap on the side snapped clean in half.That said, the rest of the cover is good quality. Nice insulation and fits our 100 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank perfectly.We will keep it and use our own ratchet strap to secure it to the tub (which we may have wanted to do anyway) - and keep it from going to landfill.However, a plea for the manufacturer - PLEASE add a better quality buckle to this product, and it would be an absolute slam dunk!

It works!
I was skeptical that it would work despite reading the reviews. I thought I had 150 gallon tank but it's only 100 so the cover is too big but I duct taped it to the tank. I have struggled with different ways to keep my remotely placed tank ice free. We just went through several days where the high temps never went above freezing and my horses had water through it all. I couldn't be happier. Some ice does form but it's not bad. The best money I've ever spent.

Expensive but soooo worth it!
This is a great addition to the 150 gallon tank. Husband uses it daily. Nice feature that he can just fold back the top half and then fold it closed when he's done. It is expensive, cost more than the tank, but so worth it!

Would not go on .
It would not slip on like stated and the handle at one end tore off on the one side when trying to put on tank. Not happy.

Decent for design and price
I was hoping that there would be some cold-water retention with its use but it doesn’t seem to have any effect. It fits well on the 100-gallon Rubbermaid stock tank, however, it seems to bunch-up on one side and will not fit perfectly symmetrical. Keeps most of the bugs and debris out though. The design is pretty solid and an overall good item. Should work really well for its purpose when the weather gets colder. Not many competitors in this genre — 3.5 stars.
