I have been addicted to Frankincense oil since the third trimester of pregnancy, it was also recommended to me by a counsellor. I have since bought many kinds of Frankincense keen to find a scent that suits me - I do tend to like stronger scents and there is a one at Holland and Barrett that practically burns my nostrils when I add to a hanky to sniff - however their one has a stronger chemically scent which does enhance Frankincense but it’s the same size bottle and 3x the cost of this one - also this one has free delivery which the H&B one doesn’t, and also if you buy 4 you get 10% off. I absolutely love the scent of this one, I love that I can buy multiple bottles and leave them in places I like to use them so their easy to reach especially with being heavily pregnant. Frankincense is safe to use in pregnancy, although I don’t put it undiluted onto skin, I do put it on hankies each night and morning - although the scent lasts over 24 hours I’m just a bit addicted to the smell and saturate it onto things - which is driving my partner mad as he can smell it on me, in bed, the car and everywhere- I’m floating on cloud nine it’s orgasmic to me, that’s how much I love this smell, I really can’t get enough of it. I put it in my diffuser and stand over the diffuser I just feel possessed with the desire to smell this scent. I know from others that they too have fallen in love with bizarre scents during pregnancy including one with coal and one friend with petrol, I truly believe though that this scent is something that will stay with me after the pregnancy. I have refused the flu vaccine as I’ve read from Amir Rashidian book The Stress Proof Life (which I highly recommend) that disease effects different people in different ways mostly depending on how much stress they have when exposed to something like a virus or how they handle stress. I have been seeing a CBT therapist who has gave me strategies to help deal with stress which can be found in CBT books and I have been using Frankincense oil because it’s great for your immune system and great for reducing anxiety. Whenever I smell this scent, I completely relax, I can close my eyes and I imagine I am walking through a peaceful forest. The scent takes me away to a peaceful place. My partner has had the flu for 14 days, having slept side by side and been in close proximity to me, I have used advice from The Stress Proof Life book with this Frankincense oil and I haven’t caught a thing from him. Just like many people where I work in the hospital I work at, have had flu and cold - many of them having had the flu vaccine and I haven’t caught a thing. The majority of that I’m putting down to Frankincense oil alone because the scent has components that help the immune system, help with anxiety and reduce stress and also help transport me to a peaceful place instantly when I work in a high stress environment- the book has helped me understand why stress plays a role in disease and why some people are affected by disease more than others, truly phenomenal. I would give this scent a million stars if I could, I’m back on now to buy for birthday and Christmas presents and also some extra to see myself over the festive period.
