Great idea for memory residents.
I bought these for a couple of households at work. I work at a retirement facility and the residents love flipping the pages and either tying, zipping and doing other activities. These residents are in a memory care unit.

For Young children too!
My favorite feature of this book is that tgere are no little pieces that come off. I teach a class of prekindergarten students with special needs. Sensory and fidget books have become an excellent redirection for disruptive behaviors. Many busy books dedigned for children have dozens of little velcro pieces that the kids tend to scatter everywhere. This book helps them refocus their attention and calm their body. They can enjoy the feeling of sliding the counting beads back and forth or lifting and pressing the velcro counting fingers. For those ready to learn I can help them count. For students needing fine motor development support, the snaps, buckles, zippers, buttons, and clasps are effective pre-writing fine motor practice.

Mother not a Fan But o.k. for the price.
More for small kids than adults. Depends on the adult with dementia as to whether they will care about it or not. My mother is not impressed, but it is well-made.

Great for a dementia patient. Durable
This is very entertaining for my husband with dementia. It seems to calm him as he touches all the parts.

Geared towards the wrong audience!!
This is not specific to seniors with Dementia. It is cheaply made and looks like it would be for a toddler. The alphbet on the outside. No where near a "Blanket"
