High quality, at an affordable price.
I bought Hiqili Sandalwood oil after using the P&J sandalwood for years. While I liked the P&J fragrance oil, it was more expensive. Admittedly, I initially wasn't crazy about the smell of the Hiqili oil. I found it to have a more smoky and earthy scent, and has a less sweet smell to it, than the P&J sandalwood. I'm guessing that is in part because it is an essential oil and not a fragrance oil. P&J is listed as a fragrance oil. It mixes well with other scents. I've come to really like the Hiqili sandalwood oil and it's now my go-to. I use it in diffusers, with other fragrances like cherry blossom. Another plus for the Hiqili oil is the packaging. I purchased the larger 3.38 Fl Oz bottle. Along with everything being well padded and secured, it came with a larger dropper and a smaller bottle with a dropper for travel. I would highly recommend this oil for its high quality at an affordable price. I will definitely be trying their other oils as well.

Pleasant scent
Pleasant scent. Not overwhelming

Slightly Overpowering
Really good value for the price, the bottle you get is big. Smells good, but the smell is slightly overpowering. I like adding this to wool balls that I put in with my laundry - I only add a few drops to each dryer ball and it makes my laundry smell great. I would recommend not being too liberal with application.

Not quite what I was looking for…
I’ve been on a quest for a nice light calming sandalwood scent that is the one I’m used to in all the sandalwood-scented products and perfume oils I’ve used in the past. My first purchase from another brand/seller smelled awful-like cheap perfume. So I moved on to this one. While it is not the exact sandalwood scent I was looking for, it is conveniently an exact dupe of my favorite perfume which costs $125/100ml. If you’re familiar with Commodity’s Book (expressive), this smells EXACTLY like that. So while the hunt continues, I’m actually super happy that I bought this because now I can add it to lotion to match my favorite perfume and mix it with a carrier oil when my travel bottle of perfume runs out. So even though I didn’t get exactly what I was hoping for, I feel like I actually got something better.

Diluted and Blended - Not Real Sandalwood - Not from India - Misleading Label
I have bought sandalwood oil in Thailand, and in Australia, where it is farmed. This does not smell like sandalwood that is pure. One, it is diluted and/or two, it’s blended with something else, possibly a synthetic sandalwood oil such as Sandalore, Javanol, etc. as such, it is more like sandalwood fragrances soaps, which also use synthetic sandalwood oils that are more flowery. Amazon photos show "India" as the source. Package you get is made in "China", hiding the "China" name and only showing the province name of "Guangzhou". However, the label says “100% pure and natural”. Also, when you buy it, it says "Stanalum album" on the box (not on the bottle), but that is not disclosed in the photos on Amazon as of 29 NOV 2025. So, it is possible that it is not synthetic, but it is also definitely not pure sandalwood. It may be natural, and it may be pure something. We don’t know what that something is. There is hardly any notable wood scent. The low price should’ve been a clue. Buy this, if you are making candles and cheap soaps. Don’t fool yourself for one Second thinking it’s real sandalwood oil.

One of my favorites
I have bought many oils from HIQILI, and they are all awesome. The oils aren't diluted, and you get a lot for the price. They all work perfectly in my diffuser. I used to burn candles, but I love that I can make my own combinations. I use them all the time, and have a special blend I use when sleeping for relaxation and decongestion.

Wow I will never buy a small bottle or wildly priced essential oil again! The value for money here is incredible and the smell is divine. I was curious to see how these would compare with the well known EO brands but I have to say I love these more. The liquid is thinner and more concentrated, I can’t believe how long these bottles last and we use them every day in 3 diffusers around the home, as well as mix perfume oil with fractionated coconut oil.

Just a few drops in my diffuser and oil burner and the scent lasts for many hours in the house. I also bought Lavender Essential Oil from the same brand with the same results! Definitely, I'll buy them again.
