I recently purchased this dashcam after being involved in an accident where I regretted not having one at the time. Fortunately, the other driver was clearly at fault, but having a dashcam would have provided additional security. While researching dashcams for the Ioniq 5, I stumbled upon a recommendation from Ioniqguy for this particular camera. I really wished that OEM would just have a seamless dashcam pre-installed, but this camera helps fix that problem. The installation process for the front camera was remarkably easy. It involved just a few steps: plugging it in and securing it to the windshield's mirror. I particularly appreciate how seamlessly it integrates into the windshield panel, giving it a clean and OEM-like appearance. As with most dashcams, installing the rear camera was a bit more complex, primarily due to the tight spaces of the Ioniq 5's design. Navigating the tight spots to thread the cable can be challenging, especially when dealing with the rubber grommet in the back door. However, with some patience and a clothes hanger, this hurdle becomes manageable. Once all components are connected, the end result is fantastic. Setting up the app on my iPhone and connecting it to the camera was straightforward. The camera uses a Wi-Fi connection, so accessing footage requires connecting to the Wi-Fi network while the car is on. Despite this, the app operates smoothly and is relatively user-friendly. Additionally, the SD card can be easily removed and accessed via a computer for viewing the various scenes. Overall, I highly recommend this dashcam to any Ioniq 5 owner. It's a worthwhile investment that offers a professional installation without being obtrusive or detracting from the car's aesthetics.

This is a must have for this vehicle. SO much nicer than installing a typical dash cam as this blends in and looks stock. The camera housing dips below the stock housing and cuts off a little visibility of the driver's right view through the windshield, but it's not a big deal - at least for me. Video quality is very good as is the app. Installation took 20 minutes. Only feature I'd like to see added is GPS speed tracking. I do regret not getting the rear camera too.

Needed this for a road trip but the wiring harness arrived broken so I can't test/use the unit. Requested replacement so I guess we will find out! Service is 12-24 hours for a response form MFG. Got the replacement unit installed and it works as expected. Instructions are lacking but it's pretty intuitive to install. Front camera is good, rear cam could be better. The app really needs improvement but works at a basic level. Love that the front looks OEM. Unfortunately the rear looks exactly as you'd expect. ***The MFG is on a severe delay (other side of the world?) so I just returned through Amazon Prime. Prime had my replacement here in 3 days, in time for a 1400 mile trip. The MFG asked me to cancel the replacement so they could mail just the broken part with no ETA given. Also, funny thing is the MFG tried to blame Amazon for damaging the part during "packaging". The part is in a bag, in a box, in a box, in a box that is shrink wrapped THEN placed in a box by Amazon. It's just poor quality control at the MFG.

This is darn near the perfect dashcam for the Ioniq 5. It was easy to install, including all the required cables and fitting into area under the rearview mirror mount perfectly. The included molded plastic cover looks like it came from the factory, making it very difficult to tell there's a dashcam. I have the 4K model and the video quality is great. I don't remember if the 4K+rearview was available when I bought it, but I wish I had it. Because it's specific to the Ioniq 5, it will probably not be moved to a new car, but that's okay; it will be a value-add to the next owner. Hopefully, Fitcamx will have a similar camera for whichever car I buy next.

Easy to install, app has been easy to use. Clean installation as if was OEM from the factory. Image quality is good.

The camera housing is sleek. And that's where the good things end. Needed to pull footage from it today only to discover it's only working for about 1 second every few minutes. I had no footage to look at when I desperately needed it. In addition to that it would never connect to my old phone. I got a Pixel, and it connects... at quite a cost: you can only connect to it through WiFi, and when you do you lose internet. The app is poorly made, and it spins and spins and spins while it tries to load your video. It takes minutes. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto go down. You are just sitting there, no internet, wasting your life away, and it will randomly disconnect. This product is 100% trash.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Project 45, model year 2022 (camera works well Project 45) easy to install, took about 20 minutes, accurate camera, easy to transfer videos to mobile phone. The dashboard camera is great, no wires visible, you don't even notice that the camera is in use. Note, look at the picture, there is a number sequence on the old case and you can make sure you are ordering the right camera.
