Hestan - 12.5" Stainless Steel Lid

The Hestan lids are a fantastic addition to any kitchen and fit perfectly with the Thomas Keller line of cookware. While these lids are not part of the Thomas Keller collection themselves, they are fully compatible with his pots and pans. I own both the universal lid and these lids, and each serves a distinct purpose. The universal lid is great for general use, while these specific lids excel at creating a tight seal, making them ideal for tasks like cooking rice, quinoa, or risotto. The Thomas Keller lids, by contrast, are excellent for venting steam when needed, so both types have their place in the kitchen. If you’re considering these lids and are worried about compatibility with the Thomas Keller cookware, rest assured—they fit perfectly. Each lid’s specifications outline the sizes and pans they are designed to match, but you can always do what I did and buy all three sizes to ensure full coverage for any cooking task.

Nice fitting lid, but the surface finish was poor. Very ugly swirl marks that are obviously from the manufacturer because they go underneath the welded handle. Update: Hestan agreed that the swirl marks should not be there so they are going to take care of the problem!

Fits great, works as intended and stores with lid upside down.

It’s a lid. Heavy duty well made. Not much more to say.
