Perfect Gift for my son.
I bought this for my 11 year old son as a gift. I was nervous at first because it is glass however, it is very durable. It took about an hour to fully heat up, but after it reached the temperature my son was in amazement with how the lava moved around. He uses it nightly as a nightlight !

Fun lava lamp
Got this for our youngest son for his 12th birthday. He loves to turn it on in his bedroom and watch it move, it’s soothing and looks cool. It a fun addition to his room

Don’t bother
I got these for my kids as part of their Christmas gifts and they’ve not worked properly yet. I chose them because I liked the shape—I figured it might be less prone to toppling over than the traditional rocket-shaped lamp. That may be true, however the wax in these doesn’t want to flow. It will melt and create one solid column of wax, but it doesn’t flow like a traditional one. Sometimes they’ll overheat and the wax will get a ton of air bubbles in it. Of the two I purchased, one of them has already blown through 3 bulbs in 3months.I’m well past the point of being able to return these, and I really tried to give them a chance (I tried fresh bulbs in case the ones it came with were duds, we changed outlets and placement in case it was reflecting too much heat back to itself, etc), but these lamps were a waste of money.If you’re looking for a lava lamp, please just go ahead and get a real one. This “bargain” wasn’t a bargain, and I wish I’d returned these in time.

Smaller Than I Thought
It is smaller than my legacy one, but does work as expected.

Small enough to fit on top of a desk or dresser.
Easy to assemble. Doesn’t give off too much light at night. Love the mesmerizing bubbles and great color.

Works but only for short period of time
The colors are very beautiful, it’s smaller than expected but still an okay size, my 7 year old had fun watching the bubbles move. Giving 3 stars because it would overheat easy and then after only 2 months of using it the bulb stopped working.
