Fantastic tile cutter, but arrived broken...
My wife fell in love with a large format tile for our kitchen backsplash, and I just couldn't talk her into anything else. Initially, I received a quote of $3,400 to install the backsplash (labor only). I felt that was too much, and I could purchase the right tools and do it myself for much less. I was right, but there were some challenges. I needed a way to cut 26" x 59" porcelain tile into 18.5" pieces for my backsplash. After reading reviews online and watching many YT videos, I settled on the Rubi TZ-1550. I was extremely disappointed that the tile cutter arrived broken and unusable. I requested a return through Amazon, but Amazon stated that the seller would not cover the return shipping. I reached out to the seller directly and pleaded my case. After offering to have the cutter repaired by a local service center, I was able to get them to send me a prepaid shipping label for the return. They issued me a full refund shortly after they received the returned cutter. Although the seller was friendly and eventually accommodating, ultimately, I purchased the tile cutter from a local tile supply house although a paid a little bit more. I was able to tackle my backsplash project with ease (large format porcelain). As I have two bathrooms to remodel next (one with 30" x 60" tile), I feel the TX-1550 was a good investment. If you are not familiar with cutting tile, I highly recommend watching some YT videos on how to use the cutter & follow the directions closely. I was able to get some free scrap large format tile from where I bought our tile to practice some cuts first. I also practiced cutting out holes for outlets with an angle grinder. I also highly recommend Rubi's 60 grit diamond sanding block to clean up any roughness. Happy wife, happy life.

Missing/broken pieces. Paid to much to have this happen at all!!!!
Worst ever! I work hard for my money installing tile. I get my package and I am missing pieces. Everything is open and some of my hardware was found in a zip lock bag. The scoring wheel is not with it. Just the wrapping. Looks completley used. 2 plastics pieces are broke. I am so upset!!!! I'm on a massive Job and I ordered this too help my team. My company. Now I have to pay to send this heavy thing back. Just super upset!!! And hopefully I can get some of my money back.

VERY GOOD
if you are a professional or looking to work with tiles this will be such a good investment although it’s most useful for bigger tiles because it’s very big so it takes up space

DOES NOT CUT RIGHT
FOR 1,500$ you would expect it to cut in a straight line but it doesn’t. Tried to contact them for a refund and never got a reply.

Not a very good cutting machine for large format tile
I had purchased this for my tile guy who is in the tile business for 20 years. Said to get a Ruby as its the best tool out there. I bought it and we wasted 2 large 2'x4' pieces because it didn't break correctly. We switched to hand cutting with a Makita. Tool flexes too much when trying to break a tile.
