Great tool to have on the bench.
Great quality and superfast delivery. Needed to jack up a marine engine to remove/replace motor mounts. Low profile fit perfectly in the tight space and was easily able to micro adjust the height. Great Tool to have on the bench!

For small adjustment, Joining, disassembly heavy items. Great 4 tight space bolt alignments
So this is pretty neat! I have not tested anywhere near the weight capacity but it was very helpful during transmission install where we were intalling into lifted jeep on 40s - in a driveway.. The issue we had was getting we did not have clearance to add height we and the jack was maxed out trying to install. With some creative rigging this was used under a board routed out to fit over it finally we were able to get the last bit of height needed for bolt install. Tire inflation and deflation helped as well. We also used this to nudge angle of tranfer case by using proper size wood between and turning this sideways against the frame. Provides small incremental movements that are controlled and holds while bolts are tightened - pulling straight with bolts is NEVER the answer ;). Can see this will be useful in assembling and dissassembling bolted heavy weight items in our shop - its really great at this. Sometimes bolts just wont come out due to unevenness of the slab, hoisting and laying on wood shims to try to find the release point is frustrating sometimes impossible with long truss etc. With this jack and similar sized wood under the length we can make adjustments at the joining area to mate surfaces in perfect alignment. Great when in tight spots or dealing with very heavy weight ( or long ) pieces that are hard to manipulate. This jack has limited movement but is very useful in the right situations. Love having it around. When things are getting frustrating this can LITERALLY save the day. Fyi- Full CYLINDER extension is 0.5 inch. Each stroke is maybe 1mm. This is for very specific purposes- like lining up bolt holes on heavy objects 👍

Poor
It leaked and didn’t work at all

Release/unloading knob doesn't tighten sufficiently
The release knob does not seal well...one needs to use a pliers to sufficiently tighten it. Hand tight is not enough.

A cheap portapower
This is a cheap Portapower, and I mean that in the quality sense as well as the cost. I use these things to jack up equipment and level building floors. Much safer than a bottle jack. On the other hand, they are NOT for jacking up vehicles. Not near enough throw, and they have a narrow base, so a vehicle can roll off and drop. This one gets the job done, but it has some shortcomings... To start with, it did not function at all out of the box. The pump had air in the cylinder and wouldn't work. Had to put the ram on the floor, the pump on end up high, and pump like crazy to get the ram to extend. Let it back in, and repeat several times to get the air out of the system. It now works. The ram Extends about 1-1/8 inch max. It does not have a spring return, so if it doesn't have a load on it to push it back down, you have to push it in yourself. A bit unusual, but just a minor inconvenience. It did not leak down under load, so that's good. The pump is bare bones. The build is light, and the fit and finish is only adequate. The paint is chipping off, and some of the exterior parts are very poorly machined. It works, it's not leaking, so I can live with ugly. The label says it holds 300 CCs of oil, but I tested it with another ram I have that requires 200 CC to fully extend, and it only made it half way, so a lot is missing in the one I got. I think I know why there was air in the system. No oil in the packaging, so it came that way from the factory. It has enough to fully operate the ram it came with, though. There is no provision to add hydraulic fluid, or check the level. It looses a bit every time the ram is disconnected (that's what is all over the cardboard in my pictures), so it will eventually require some. Not really sure how I'm going to get it in there since mine needs it now. It comes without any sort of storage case. Part of what keeps the price low. All that said, it works after a bit of fussing, and it is very inexpensive. The pro ones we use at work cost four times as much as this kit for just the pump with no rams. It you are going to use this only occasionally, it's a serviceable unit, and it won't break the bank. I rated it accordingly.

Great Single Purpose Porta Power
This is an excellent quality single purpose Porta Power. It comes with one Two Inch high cylinder that goes to a height of about 2 7/8" total or 7/8" above the cylinder. Capacity is ten tons. I use these when I have to raise a steel beam just a little in my work or once I had to bend a lip up in the steel for trusses to fit under. This is capable of hooking to other size cylinders or attachments. The hose and all fittings are well made and for it's specified use it appears to be great quality. The jack unit works as it is supposed to. Upon relieving pressure, the cylinder can be pushed back down. I particularly like to see the quality control certification because generally they always, work well.

Quarter inch at a time, height is laughable
YATOINTO 5 Ton Low Profile Hydraulic Cylinder Jack A jack like this can be really handy if you need to lift something, and dont have a lot of room to get a regular jack under it. The problem is, that this model only lifts about a quarter inch higher than its collapsed height, it would take forever, and a lot of blocking to get anything high enough for a regular jack. I ordered this thinking that the raised height would be slightly less than double the collapsed height, but boy was I wrong! It is very well made, and I guess the ram could be swapped out to a higher lift one, but I cannot recommend this jack in good faith, unless you know of a specific use case.
