I'm loving this new coffee carafe. I love the color and the great design. It's so sleek and easy to use. We use a coffee carafe every morning to keep our coffee warm for hours. We were using one that had come with one of our old coffee makers, and that one lasted for years. I'm hoping this will last even longer. It really keeps the coffee nice and hot and is so easy to use. I especially love the wide mouth at the top. I used to spill lots of coffee trying to pour it into our old carafe, but now every drop gets in! That's a real plus for obsessive coffee drinkers like me and my husband! I highlyrecommend this product!

I started with just the carafe. It looks good and keeps the tea hot when traveling. As someone with arthritic hands, the carafe is well balanced and a lot easier to hold open when pouring than those with the normal lid design. I was so impressed I bought a matching mug. This too performs well and is a nice, well balanced shape and size. Lids to both the carafe and mugs can be taken apart for washing which is a big plus as most can’t. If you don’t need the travel lid, the mug edges are nicely rounded for drinking without the lids and the liquid will maintain the temperature better than a regular mug. Liked these so much bought three more in different colors for when we have guests.

Despite what I'm about to say, we actually do like this caref, it has a great design, looks good on our counter, does what we need it to do (for the most part) and seems like it will last us for a couple of years.However, it is annoying that you have to tilt it really far to get your coffee. I still get psyched out that the coffee is all gone before it hits that sweet spot angle (which is practically 90degrees over your cup) and starts pouring the coffee. Also it does not keep it hot for nearly 12 hours. My husband wakes up and makes coffee around 4:45-5am and by the time I get up to have coffee around 6:45-7 the coffee is warm, but not hot at all. If I have coffee later in the morning, like 9-10 am its still warm-ish but I have to microwave it or it cools down way too quickly in the mug . So don't expect your coffee to be nice and hot for more than an hour or two in this caref, but it will stay warmish for a good while.

I will preface this with, in our household a carafe for coffee is an ESSENTIAL item. We drink french press coffee and a lot of it. We absolutely need a carafe to keep our coffee at peak performance! It finally came time to replace the German manufactured carafe we have been using for 10+ years. I read some of the complaints before we purchased this and wanted to share our experience. First of all, the fit and finish on this carafe is spot on. Overall the design is aesthetically pleasing. I chose the black and silver model. It appears to be powder coated and is definitely scratch resistant. The lid fits firmly with little to no wiggle and gaps. It is most definitely a VACUUM carafe. You do have to tilt to 90° to pour, but don't see this as a problem. The push button to pour, located on the handle, functions exactly as it should. This feature was a major deciding factor in the purchase (as well as it's size). It holds 68 ounces, as labeled. As for holding temperature, we ran a test on it. Here are the results:175.2° F @ start168.1° F @ 1 hour156.3° F @ 2 hours146.1° F @ 4 hours131.5° F @ 8 hours120.0° F @ 12 hoursI am pleased with these results. Especially since we finish our coffee in the 1 to 2 hour range. I took the temperature with a probe thermometer and opened the carafe every time to test it. In doing that, it obviously lost temperature faster than it would have if I just poured a cup and tested it. I am definitely not a scientist and realized my testing mistake about 8 hours in. I will also note I didn't preheat the carafe with hot water. I am sure that would enhance the results.All in all, for the price and the quality, I would recommend this Ideus thermal carafe. I will update this post if there are any major items that arise.

3rd time I purchased this, first 2 were ok, the last one purchased in May 2025 has a defective pouring mechanism, coffee will pour very slow (dribble), cleaned per manufacturers recommendations and still no good. Can't seem to locate the manufacturer so I could try and get a replacement lid. Return date has expired.

The thermos looks great, keeps it hot for several hours. But the center of the lid popped out (where the spring is) and I can’t get it back together. It won’t stay in so therefore the lid doesn’t work.
