I had better things to spend my money on, than this completely useless piece of equipment, and there were no instructions.

Great substitute!
Was a bit worried that it might not work since it wasn't manufactured by Canon (lost my Canon charger). But it does the job well, so I'm not complaining especially since it's way cheaper than an authentic one!
