New Balance Men's 481 V3 Trail Running Shoe

I bought these for my guy's birthday as he likes New Balance, and he said he couldn't be happier with the fit, style, and comfort level of these athletic shoes. His foot size is 10.5 but I bought a size 11 as that's what he wears in athletic shoes (and I as well always order a half size up in athletic shoes). The 11's fit him perfectly. A very good point: he said these shoes were comfortable from the time he put them on. That's a good sign--you don't want a shoe that you feel you have to 'break in' - shoes should feel good as soon as you put them on your feet! They are lightweight but sturdy. The tread is good for light 'hiking' (an even and not too rocky trail), and would be great for walking or gym workouts. He's not a runner, but he could do a light jog in them. Supportive. Comfortable. And they look great.

These shoes are well made and have currently lasted me over two years. I have ran over 3000 miles. I would recommend buying extra laces as I've had to replace mine multiple times. Regardless, they're perfect for running outdoors or on the treadmill.

I have a partially torn Achilles tendon on my right foot. I decided to not have surgery - the recovery process would have been too activity restricted, so instead I opted for physical therapy with a great therapist. I had been looking for shoes that would offer me greater ankle stability than normal athlecit shoes could, and in the listing copy these sounded just about right. I can wear 12-1/2 wides, but as that size wasn't available I went with 13 Ds. They fit very well when I first put them on, including a properly sized toebox. When I took my first steps I was surprised at how heavily cushioned they felt, but as I continued to wear them I became more accustomed to a cushioned heel with adequate arch support. I have a very high instep and usually can't use the uppermost eyelets for laces, but with these shoes I had adequate lace length to go through them, and they provided me with extra stability as well. Four Stars because I'm still "breaking them in," but so far, very good. Another very good pair from NB, and I expect my enthusiasm for them to continue to grow over time. Of course your mileage may vary, but for me, they are Just What I Needed.

Great fit, comfortable second pair I would buy them again

I bought these while back. They’re great shoes, for doing a lot of walking I go with a little bit higher end. But considering the price, I was very impressed with their level of comfort and we are on the bottom.

Update: have had em a few weeks now and while they are great for trumping around Arizona trails (lots of rocks) they are so comfy I have taken to wearing them all day long. GREAT support and feel. Based on User Reviews I ordered both 11 x wide and 11.5 x wide since many people claimed they ran small. This was NOT my experience. My normal 11, 4E size fit true to form and the general feel of the shoe is nice and comfy. I do 'feel' the toe box a bit but I am not sure that does not just have to do with how I have laced them. Also, I am not used to wearing 'hard' shoes as normally I wear running shoes which have a 'soft' upper and toe box, so no comparison. Sending the 11.5s back today, thank you PRIME!!! The shoes look awesome, I really like the style and colors. Laces seem puny, which makes 2 from NB with cheap laces. I hate that as they tie up in knots easily. Someone wrote they are now made in Idonesia. That sucks, NB has always marketed "made in USA". Overall for 62 bucks I think they will great for hiking in AZ where we have lots of rocks and it get HOT. This seems a good choice. I will update after having used them a while.

I have exclusively bought New Balance shoes for the last 15+ years now because of the quality they bring to the table. This pair of shoes is quality made but has one major flaw for me, the tongue is not even close to being wide enough. It is as if they took the tongue for a much smaller size of shoe that is normal width and just super-imposed it on this pair. I ordered a 14 X-Wide and the shoe itself fits fine. However, I struggle to close the tongue gap not show my socks. Sometimes I can pull it tight enough to and sometimes I have about 1/4 inch or more gap on one side. I've never had this problem with any pair of shoes, let alone New Balance. It's embarrassing. The tongue for this shoe, for any wide or other shoe, should be about a 1/2 inch wider than what it is. I bought three pairs at once and this is the first one I am finally getting to after my other ones wore out so there is no recourse for returns. Severely disappointed. The other thing I noticed with this pair is that it has a bit of a forward lean to them when standing. It pushes your toes to the front.

This is a nice set of shoes. I purchased them and was amazed how fast they arrived. I was even more amazed that their were two shoes in the box. I thought you only received one shoe but no you get two. Also the beautiful box that the shoes were packaged in they put both shoes in one box. I say to myself what will they think of next. The quality of the shoes were really good and were a good fit right out of box they came in. I must say that if you need a fine set of shoes these will fit the bill. All in all this was a great experience shopping at my local Amazon shoe store where they apparently have a buy one shoe and get one shoe free deal going on. One other nice thing about these shoes is that they came with laces and get this the laces were already put on the shoes talk about a time saver. In conclusion I would walk briskly to my nearby Amazon shoe store and give these New Balance shoes a try.

They have the perfect arch support super light weight new balance are the best shoes.

Really uncomfortable. They don’t feel like any New Balance I’ve had before. Very sore on the soles of my feet. Didnt come with any tags of other product info. Bit dodgy maybe. Also, please confirm delivery date before you buy as the date changed significantly between me clicking buy and the confirmation email coming through.

Only used for walking not running. Very comfortable. Shoe strings a tad too long.
