Replaced headphone ear covers in five minutes as per the instructions. Great product and would definitely buy again as the quality and fit is superb

I do a lot of outside work and get a sweat up. The stock pads are great indoors but make me sweaty and it's not nice. Thes are so far really good and keep my ears cool and if I do sweat then it is absorbed into the headpad. Now I amy not be able to wash them but I would give it a go on a super gentle hand wash when they get a bit stinky...They are a bit thicker than the stock so too a couple of hours to get used to them. Putting them on was ok but I didn't want to damage the stock sony ones as they are as new so wanted to make sure I had them as a back up. Be careful getting them off as I think if you are a bit ham fisted then you could tear them.5 star so far, will update if that changes.

Good quality and very easy to fit

Sits nicely on the ears, easy swap from old ones with tool provided. I'm not sure about the method used for "cooling" feature, but once the warm days come I'll sure give it a try and write about it.

Makes my ears feel too warm and hot. Especially when you sweat when being active at the gym, it just makes your ears feel like they are burning

they are very comfy and create a big enough of gape so the ear doesn't touch

I tend to wear my XM4s a lot - for work, leisure, and travel. Something that is more to do with my genetics than anything else is that I do get a bit hot in the ears!The XM4s do therefore make my ears quite hot and sweaty on long sessions, so the idea of being able to alleviate this was welcome.First up, these are nowhere near the kind of quality I expected... they just look and feel cheap - especially the deforming that occurred on mine in the packaging - they came out looking terrible.I'm also not a fan of the cloth face on these - I'm kind of used to my soft mock leather Sony experience.They were indeed easy to fit, and they take care of the sensor (auto off/ on) nicely. No damage to my original set during removal.The problems began when I wore them: They just don't feel as nice - and for starters, they are nowhere near as good at sealing. I invested in XM4s for the noise cancelling, and even though I'm no audiophile, I reckon these replacement pads take away about 25% at least of the non-electronic noise cancelling straight away, and even with ANC on, the effect is basically a downgrade.Also, due to the deforming during packaging, they don't quite look like they fit... which may be also harming the noise cancelling.But, are these sacrifices going to make them any cooler to wear? No... not for me. The effect wasn't actually noticeable at all. In fact, the only think I did notice was a lot more transmitted noise/ friction on even light movement (chewing, turning my head).Overall, at ~£27 (at the time of review) these certainly feel like a downgrade.I'm afraid that means I cannot recommend these, but please do read my objective review before using that to make your own decision.

After having my XM4s for close to 4 years, the ear cups were just starting to fall apart a tiny bit.I was very worried about taking my £300 headphones apart to service myself, but it was simple to do following the enclosed instructions, and the earpads are comfortable.They're a little larger than the originals and I have used another click of the headband as a result. Not convinced about the "cooling gel" aspect, but I'd recommend them to anyone in need.
