Beautiful salad bowls.

i love the botanical fower design to begin with. and i think they look the prettiest on these pasta bowls. they became my favorite dish to use for every meal i'm considering to get few more set in the future. i use them for almost anything and everything every day. happy buyer. only one thing is the box came little folded on all corners and i was worried but everything was okay.

These are sized generously, and have a deep but shallow curve to the sides. Being pasta bowls, they of course do not have a rim to them though amazon's photo seems to suggest one. I added these on since we have more people around on weekends, and pasta is a weekend favorite. These are made in the UK and are as beautiful as my other Botanic Garden pieces. I found that the Botanic Roses and these tropical patterns are a creamier base color than my original garden pieces which have a slight greenish tint to the cream base. But these are beautiful added on and you don't really notice the shade difference when you set the table. I use them for soup as well if I want larger portions, interchangeably with the fruit bowl since they don't seem to make the large rim soup bowls in roses or tropical. I like this more girly feeling china vs the super tough fiesta which is the staple of my all boy(cept for me) household. There were no flaws in the bowls I received, but on the outside or bottoms, I know there are always occasional bumps made by flecks of sand. These are noticeable in all but the bake ware, and across pieces I have from over 15 years ago and bought from various stores too. So its not quite fine china. They are tough and designed for gentle everyday use, but I use them for weekends. If you're just starting your collection, these tropical prints are gorgeous though the summery roses are my personal favorite. Lovely to be reminded of vacations in warmer climes.

I just love these, excellent quality and an absolute great value. The colors are vibrant, the finish is very elegant and the floral design is flawless. These look very expensive! I’ll definitely buy another set.

I love the Portmeirion botanic garden print, and the line of china retains the gloss that keeps them looking new, year after year. I have owned some plates from past purchases. They are dishwasher safe, microwave safe and durable. I am slowly replacing another set of china I've had for years, and which has gotten chipped and scratched. These bowls are HUGE, and somewhat shallow. They hold a lot of food or soup, which is important to my husband. I might also buy a set of the fruit bowls, which are much smaller, and more the size of my appetite. In summary, I'm very happy with my purchase

I’m giving this order only 4stars, even though the bowls are all beautiful, because one bowl arrived BROKEN because of bad packaging and extremely rough handling. The box itself was damaged from rough handling during shipping. BUYER BEWARE!

These balls are an ideal size. They fit a whole salad and lots of soup there beautiful dishwasher safe we love them.

Direct from England to Australia in 10 days. Packing was less than stellar but arrived in perfect condition (not broken or chipped). With postage this was half the cost of local stock, literally. The same quality we expect from the range, almost indestructible and are fine in the dishwasher. These are 'Pasta bowls' but work great for pasta (of course), cereal (much better than the tiny oatmeal bowls in the range), stew, rice, general prep bowls and shelling peas. Maybe a little shallow for soup but ok. Too big for ice-cream - try the 14cm bowl instead.

The lovely pasta bowls arrived all intact and way before the estimated delivery date! I was worried that they might be some breakages as it's a long journey from the US! And these are made in England. Happy!!

Potmeirion, what's not to like? These pasta dishes are a bit smaller than my originals but are big enough for dinner. Colour is nice.
