Piece of Cake (And looks nice too!)
I've always been a bit wary of purchasing a "bed in a box" but I wanted a mattress narrower than a twin because I live in a tiny-house-sized apartment and when I sleep I stay within two feet and don't move, even if the bed is a king. In a tiny house space is everything, and beds take up a lot of space that could be used in other ways. I wanted not only a narrow bed but something that looked decent as well, preferably something that utilized wood (I knew I wasn't going to get away from the metal). I found Zinus and liked their simple, streamlined look, and was able to find one that had wood on both ends. The bed arrived about a day and a half after it shipped! All the pieces were individually wrapped and had label stickers for every connection. None of them were labeled incorrectly! The instructions were very clear, and the screws all came separated, not in one jumbled bag! Not only did they send the Allen wrench with it, but a cute little ratchet as well! I'm definitely going to be using that a lot because it's in the standard size! Putting the frame together was a piece of cake, even for one person! It took me a little less than 30 minutes! All of the connections fit well too. The mattress did not explode out of it's bag either, which is something that can happen when an item like that has been compressed. It needs about a day to air out and expand. The was a very slight odor, but it was hardly noticeable, and it wasn't a bad smell. In the little note they send they mention they infuse green tea in their foam which may account for the smell being fine. The mattress is fairly thin and lays directly on the slats but this is to be expected-I suppose one could find a thicker mattress or order your own piece of custom sized memory foam if you wanted and still spend less than a regular nice bedframe with mattress and box spring. If you like slightly firm mattresses though, this one will be fine, and I'm a rather small person so it works well. It's already better than the IKEA futon mattress I'd been sleeping on previously. I'm going to cut the mattress topper I already have to add a little extra layer of cushion. The only downside of the mattress is there's no way to attach it to the frame (there is no lip in the frame to keep it in place) but it has one of those sort of dotted rubber bottoms that should hopefully keep it straight. The bed is high enough off the ground to fit one or two of those under-the-bed storage boxes as well! Overall I was very impressed with the product and would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy, budget friendly frame. If you are looking for a cot-sized bed frame (30 in width) I would definitely recommend Zinus since cot frames are few and far in between!

Much better than I expected
I will be honest that when my daughter initially decided she wanted this bed, I wasn't thrilled. It was from a company I had never heard of and some of the reviews were iffy (not to mention she was replacing something namebrand and in great condition with something slightly more "fashionable"). After getting the bed, I can honestly say its a great bed for the money and super easy to assemble. The Pros for this bed: - It is lower to the ground than I expected. For me as an adult male, probably too low but for my pre-teen daughter it is the perfect height. - Sturdier than expected. Some of the reviews talked about how noisy the bed is and how flimsy it was but I could not disagree more. We have huskies that will run full speed onto anything and daughters who much to our chagrin will still bounce on beds - and this held up fine. I have even laid on it without real concern that to much movement could stress the bed. - The packaging - The box for this came utterly wrecked. I was pretty sure this was going to end in disaster with the bed showing up and my daughter being upset that it was damaged and couldn't be put together, but the box inside the box was fine. Even if it wasn't a thin layer of foam encased the parts and each metal component was individually wrapped. Maybe not exactly eco-friendly, but I don't know much furniture that is. - It was easy to assemble - The instructions are simply pictures, but they make it easier by numbering each step. If you can match sticker one to sticker one and put the right screw in the hole - you got this. Steps are 1-11. Each connector has a sticker. It even came with a ratcheting key to get everything secure. Cons: (I am going to really nitpick here) - The bed is smaller than I expected. I know I gave that as a pro above but if I had ordered this for me, a nearly 6 foot 200lb man - I would have been extremely disappointed. If you are really limited on space or if you are a small stature person - this will be perfect. At a certain size, I would probably feel cramped but its probably been 20 plus years since I slept in a twin size bed willingly. - Blemishes on the metal - When I was still in the "I hate this bed" phase I quickly noticed several blemishes in the coating of the metal components. Putting this together it stood out to me as it was almost always near a connection point. That being said, now that its all together I couldn't readily point out something without getting an inch away and looking over it again. At no point did I think "this part is trash" and by the time I had an assembled product I was happy with it overall. - The space for the trundle is tiny. You really only have about 6 inches for a mattress, so anticipate on having to get something like a bunk bed sized twin for the pull out bed or a thin memory foam mattress. We knew this going into it, but if you are reading this far - you have been warned. All in all - I like this bed. I would recommend it for mid-teens to below or those who like/require minimal designs. For the money it appears to be good quality and I wasn't disappointed at the end of the day when I fully expected to be.

I love Zinus products because they are affordable and easy to ...
I have a Zinus bed and Zinus dining table set, and a Zinus single sofa. I love Zinus products because they are affordable and easy to assemble. When you have more Zinus products, your room looks even better since they have the similar designs. This ironline daybed comes with a mattress. I am the first person buying it but I am actually confident in Zinus products and also, Zinus offers free returns so I am not too worried about it. The package came a bit beat up as I expected since I called Zinus customer service and they said that is the way UPS or FedEx handle the heavy boxes. However, Zinus put a lot of cushions in the package so the product is going to be fine even though on the outside it looks bad. I opened the box and just like they said. They have lots of foams, different smaller boxes, and protections. This daybed surprised me because I was not really paying attention to the finish of the bars. They have that kind of metallic finish which look pretty high quality. Zinus takes care of the details when I saw they smooth the corner of the wood. The wood has pretty good quality, too from the look and the weight. The steel slats are well designed, too. Easy to put together and lock pretty well. The whole frame is sturdy when I tested it, may be because I am less than 150 pounds but the description says it holds up to 240 pounds. The mattress recovered completely after 12 hours and it had a slight smell in the beginning. However, the smell also went away after 12 hours. I took a nap on it yesterday and it was very nice. In general, this daybed is my second favorite Zinus product now. I still like my Zinus Cloud like 12 inch foam mattress King the best.

Problems with manufacturing controls
I found this product and was very excited that it appeared to be what I was looking for. Overall, the product is quite good and does fulfill my needs. It appears to be very sturdy and is attractive. In general, it was quite simple to assemble, however the difficulty became apparent when I could not align the holes in the framework with the holes in the Bamboo side pieces. I manipulated the bamboo in every configuration but two of the holes were not placed correctly in the wood. I solved the problem by drilling through the two frame access holes to open them so that the bolts could align and would engage the Bamboo side pieces. I had to place washers under the bolt heads to allow the bolts to properly secure the Bamboo to the frame. I hope the manufacturer will review their processes so that their product can live up to their intentions of making this a truly simple assembly process. Ergo the 4 stars.

Perfect for the guest room!
Needed a guest room bed for my grandma that will be visiting soon. She's 96 but independent (and 4'9") so I wanted something lower to the ground and stable. It's honestly so perfect. I also wanted to avoid getting a wood bed, as all affordable ones likely are just some cheap particle board. Our home is a country cracker style, and we kept that rustic theme. It is a nice size and fits the room well. The trundle is low to the ground and fit a 6 inch mattress fine. The frame is definitely sturdy, can take some good weight, and it isn't going to fall apart unless perhaps you try really hard by jumping on the bed?? The wood is real bamboo and has a nice dark finish. It's a good length. My 6'7" dad can fit if he bends his knees a little, and most people you're buying this for probably aren't going to reach that height. We got a couple of nice soft memory foam mattresses to accompany them and it's made the set up soooo comfy. I like how the trundle has locks on the wheels to keep it in place (note, make sure you put the locks on the OUTSIDE assuming you have the bed pressed against a wall like I do haha). Super easy to put together. I'd say having my husband sped up the process a lot, plus he was able to rip the box open easier than me. Told my mom all about it and she wants one now. It's super affordable but looks better in my opinion than any cheap wood one I can buy off ikea that costs double. And I love ikea too! Recommend it for anyone!!!

Watch the set up video first!
I love the quality of the product and I was able to put it together myself. I’m a grandma in my sixties so there’s that. However….the labeling on all the pieces was ID’d with letters and the paper directions had numbers in addition to the letters which made things very confusing at first glance so I watched the QR code assembly video and that helped immensely. Also the letter ID stickers were not easy to remove and left very sticky residue behind. Have some Goo Gone handy or something similar. All in all, I’m very pleased!

WHAT A GREAT PRODUCT
I purchased this bed for my man-cave. My wife had open heart surgery in January of this year and I have a compromised immune system. I wanted a bed that I could fall back on when I became sick in order to protect her from possible unnecessary sickness. This bed is exactly what I was looking for. It is sturdy, super easy to assemble and meets all of my needs. It took me one hour to remove all of the contents from the shipping box, assemble the bed and have the mattress on the frame. Each part of the bed had an affixed number on it with a corresponding identical number on the part that was to be attached there. When assembling the headboard, the top left corner had a dot with a 1 on it. The left side piece of the headboard also had a dot with a 1. All you had to do was connect them together and screw in 2 bolts. The right side was the same way except the dots were marked 2. As you went through each piece they had corresponding matching numbers. The instruction sheet for assembly was just a guide to make sure you understood what they wanted you to do. An hour later you are looking at a magnificent little bed. The headboard and foot board have wood panels that spruced it up a bit. The mattress was originally rolled into a 18-inch diameter roll. The first thing I did was to remove the mattress from the roll so it would have time to start the expansion process. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE DIRECTIONS WHICH TELL YOU TO TEAR THE MATTRESS BUNDLE AT THE SEAM THEY GIVE YOU. THEY CLEARLY STATE "DO NOT USE A KNIFE OR SCISSORS TO OPEN THAT PACKAGE AS YOU CAN DAMAGE THE TOP OF THE MATTRESS COVERING." YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THAT WARNING. I FOLLOWED THEIR DIRECTIONS TO THE LETTER BUT I CAN SEE HOW TIGHT THAT MATTRESS WAS STUFFED INTO THAT WRAPPING, DAMAGE WOULD BE EMINENT. There was a slight odor that the mattress released over the next couple of days but it is completely gone now. It was noticeable, not overwhelming. I bought the mattress pad and the sheet set that Amazon grouped as a set and glad I did. Everything fit perfectly. I hope if you buy this bed, you have the same experience I have had. I'd give it 10 stars if they'd let me go that high.

Sturdy, Comfortable & Easy to Assemble
I purchased this for my son who is 14 and stands taller than me and is not a bean pole by any means. The installation was smooth as it came equipped with directions that were quite possibly the easiest assembly instructions to comprehend that I had ever encountered. With no issue and a very short build time, a sleek, modern looking bed was sitting in the room. The mattress did take a few days to reach full potential, which was a fascinating process in and of itself, but that was explained in the directions and expected. The bed is very sturdy and appears solidly constructed with no sign of wobble (even through a teenager's abuse) and my son has reported that it is also very comfortable. In short, well worth the purchase amount and I would highly recommend this bed (especially epic if you are putting it in a small-sized room).
