The unit works great. Controls are smooth and easy to use. The transmission distance is the problem. I have an inexpensive, magnetic mount antenna. I have less than 100 yards of transmission power. On another vehicle, I have a 2 foot fiberglass antenna. This one has a little more transmission distance but not much. Maybe with a 4 foot antenna it would do better. I would like to have a few miles of power. This will require a much more powerful radio. If you are using this in a fixed environment, this is a great radio. If you are moving, I wouldn't buy this one.

This is a nice little radio. Seems to have most of the features I would want. Transmits and receives clearly as expect from a brand like cobra. The auto squelch filters most of the unwanted sounds out. I installed it where my obsolete cassette deck was using left over boat switch panel plastic as a bezel. I screwed the bracket into the original cassette deck tray so I can slide the radio out in seconds. I am running an external speaker near the floorboard but may relocate it to hear it better. The only feature I would have wanted was NOAA weather but for the “on sale” price I can’t complain too much.

Much smaller than I expected, which is a great thing. I had to use the manual to figure out how to scan and change squelch, but it wasn't to challenging after following the instructions. Good audio out of such a small speaker. I really like having both the option to use a cigarette lighter plug and a direct wire, without having to cut one up. I like it when companies include both options. Very rugged looking and with its tiny size it's easy to fit in almost any vehicle. Have been in a low use area and just barely used it, so don't have a good feel for the ability to pick up distant users. But, it clearly works and is easy to operate. I've never used FM before and want to try that, just need to find someone else with an FM unit. Great size and good price.

I have long used Cobra brand CB radios (15 + years, after switching from Midland). I was looking for a small radio for in my vehicle. This is one of smallest CB radios I have seen -- possible smaller than my Uniden hand-held. It may be small, but it delivers big. It is replacing an old Cobra WX75, and blows the doors off of the old one. I use a full size Cobra 29 Classic in my RV, and this seems to match it. One feature I am not sure on is the squelch control. To change the setting you have to go through the control button and then set it -- not the easiest to do while driving. However, it does have auto-squelch which works well for me so far.

This radio is great unbelievably good sound the speaker is so clear. The radio is very easy to use and is the smallest I’ve ever found, if you’re looking for a small radio I would highly recommend this one.
