Excellent math resource for homeschooling
I recently came across the Times Table Games for Big Thinkers, and I must say, it's a fantastic resource for kids aged 8 and above. With over 120 fun puzzles, this book not only engages young minds but also enhances their mathematical skills in an enjoyable way.One of the standout features of this book is its ability to make learning times tables entertaining. Instead of the traditional rote memorization approach, this book presents times tables in a playful and interactive format. The puzzles are cleverly designed to challenge children's problem-solving abilities while simultaneously reinforcing their multiplication skills. It's a refreshing departure from the monotony of repetitive drills, making math more accessible and engaging for young learners. The variety of puzzles included in this book is impressive. The book strikes a perfect balance between educational content and entertainment value, ensuring that children remain engrossed while simultaneously sharpening their multiplication abilities. The book is visually appealing, with colorful illustrations and a clean layout. The vibrant visuals add an element of fun and excitement to the learning experience, making the book visually appealing for children. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, ensuring that children can dive into the puzzles independently or with minimal guidance. The book's user-friendly design fosters a sense of autonomy and encourages children to take ownership of their learning journey. As an educational tool, this book offers more than just times table practice. The puzzles encourage critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills, all of which are essential for children's overall cognitive development. By incorporating these skills into the times table learning process, the book equips children with a broader set of tools that can be applied across various subjects and real-life scenarios.

Fun kids puzzle book
I got this for my 9 year old son and he has enjoyed working through the different puzzles. He has found some more challenging than others but he has been going back to it which is great to see as it is an alternative way of learning his times tables and he's enjoying it.There are 120 different puzzles covering different ways of working out sums and times tables. We also have another of the same Big thinkers puzzles books, they are a hit with my son.

Good for yr2/3+
Time tables book. This book is easy to fill in with pencil or pen. Felt tips run though! The pages are black print only but are organised in a fun comic book style with one puzzle per page. They get harder as they go so start at the front! Would be good for yr2/3+.

Engaging approach to times tables
This is a fun book with a wide variety of clever puzzles designed to promote understanding of times tables. Although the recommended age range is 7 to 11, I think younger children with a feel for arithmetic would be able to manage the earlier pages. In total, there are 121 puzzles, including number sequences, number paths, mazes, pyramids, number chains and number crosswords, amongst others. The puzzles increase in difficulty as you work your way through the book, and all the answers as well as a few blank, ‘working out’ pages can be found at the end.The book is paperback size so perfect for traveling with. The paper quality, however, isn’t great, and probably wouldn’t stand up to repeated erasing of pencil. On the whole, though, I think this is good value for the price, and it has given my 6 year-old grandson hours of engagement. Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.

Ideal for those learning their times tables!
I got this for my 7-year-old son as I wanted to take advantage of the fact that he actually enjoys doing his times tables at the moment! He loves to challenge himself and this book is a great way to do that! With 120 puzzles this book should last a while. As it is not a large book in size it would be easy to take away on holiday, which is exactly what we’re going to do. A perfect activity for your child on a long-haul flight when they get bored of watching movies or playing on a tablet. At the back of the book, there are some pages to make notes if needed and all the answers can also be found there.A great variety of puzzles and a great way to get kids thinking and practicing their maths!

Good book
I got this book for my 9 year old as they’re big at doing times tables at school at the minute. This is fun as once you’ve figured out the sum it’s coded so it makes it fun.

Plenty to keep them occupied
I gave this to my 7 and 11 year old and there was enough in there to challenge them both. The paper used isn’t great quality, think old school colouring books from 20 years ago.The answers are at the back to check once completed.Great for helping to reinforce their time table knowledge.I hope you found this review helpful.

Great book
My Son is loving this book as with a couple of the books from this series. There is a good selection of times table puzzles and t has kept my son engaged. The paper is budget paper and wont take long before a child rubs a hole into the page as they aren't very durable. On the trickier puzzles we either copy them out onto normal paper or photocopy them on the printer to prevent damaging the pages.
