Does the job, had a fault but fixed it with some WD40 spray, lifts concrete/tiber fence post well
Does the job well, I used it to lift very old 2 meter concrete post from a family members garden. These concrete post require 2-3 people btw to even lift it but the high lift jack did it alone. What ever you are lifting or pulling does require a strong stable grip to latch itself onto (grip bar part of jack) that will not break (like a solid screw or timber piece nailed in or flat solid part) or appropriate metal chain with correct fitting someone in the q&a someone mentioned slip noose made with a D shackle which could work.Lucky my concrete post had a large bolt screw poking out at the bottom roughly about half an inch and the high lift jack was able to get under it to use as leverage and out the old concrete post came. I dug around the concrete fence quite a lot (good half meter down) since I did not have clearance on the other side (next door neighbors opposite fence). Should work similar with smaller tree stumps and hedges and other bushes as long as you get the grip bar parts properly underneath or gripped well. You may have to get the right angle on the high lift jack too so move it around and try different spots and angles till you get a good solid surface and strong grip under the gripper bar on the high lift jack, then jack away.I had an issue with my lift jack where the gripper bar would not go back down automatically like it use too, I thought it was faulty but this saw others mention to use WD40 spray or some oil to help loosen the joints and parts to make them work better. So I sprayed wd40 spray around the large metal clip that controls the unit, joints and whole bar even. I did this and 2 days after noticed it went back down. Tried it few times and its now working again.Props to Oypla customer services who emailed me with details on returning the item promptly but since I fixed it I will keep it for future uses.

Very sturdy and well made.
They're big and heavy, just the job for jacking my tractor up for maintenance. Excellent lift capacity and if you attach a chain, they can also be used for jacking tree stumps out of the ground. The jacking handle is long, which makes it easy to operate. If you need to jack heavy objects up (tractors, containers, farm implements), then these bad boys are ideal!

Does the job at a good price, but better instructions needed.
By myself I had to lift an intact 7 x 5 shed, in an awkward location, onto a trolley, to move it elsewhere. I also had a tree root to remove. I concluded it was cheaper to buy this jack, rather than hire in help, or hire the jack. No doubt I will yet find many other uses for it.It works remarkably well over a long height range, from as low as 4.5inches, but with a better designed base plate it could go down to 3.5inches, which would be quite an advantage. It must be used with great care and with extreme caution, as it can be very dangerous if not used properly. I would not recommend this for anyone with little experience or understanding about lifting heavy loads. Its small base plate, relative to its height, gives it very little stability to stop it toppling under load, so you must ensure that the load is stable and that this cannot happen.I have knocked off a star, as the instructions are really not good enough for such potentially hazardous equipment. There really needs to be much better instructions about how to use it and some good diagrams to show how it works would also be a great help.I had some difficulty working out how to lower a load and also how to put the jack back to its lowest position. As an engineer I was able to work this out, but better instructions and diagrams would have been a great help. The are safety instructions on a label wrapped around the handle, but these are in tiny print and it was very difficult to read these when wrapped around the handle, so most people won't bother. Most, though not all, of these safety instruction were on a printed sheet included with the jack, but better safety and operating instructions are needed.Anyway the shed was safely lifted onto the trolley and moved away. With the tree stump I put a strong chain around the stump, with a slip noose made with a D shackle, so it would tighten under tension. The jack was stood by the stump on a solid block and the chain attached to the lifting nose. This worked fine, but the stump snapped, rather than pulling out the roots, as it was too rotten to take the force, otherwise it was working fine.Very pleased with this Farm Jack and it has already paid for itself. It is of very sturdy construction, but it is also a heavy lump to move around.

Quality, 3 ton tractor jack.
Very well built 3 ton 48" Tractor jack. Quite substantial so should handle the 3 tons without an issue. I purchased it along with a 3 ton sling to assist in removing a tree stump. No complaints.

Perfect for removing fence post spikes and big roots
I'm landscaping my garden, and needed to remove several fence post spikes and large roots from the ground.I bought this to simply pull them out of the ground. To do this, I bought this farm jack, a lifting chain, and some shackles. With the right angle, this jack pulled out the spikes with ease, saving me a lot of digging! The jack is solid and robust. The instruction leaflet that came with it was not very readable (poorly scaled and printed). But Thankfully, the jack is easy to operate (only 1 control lever to understand). This made my landscaping tasks effortless, and I'm sure that I will have other opportunities for this tool. The value for money was excellent for this tool, highly recommended.
