The assembly is easy enough and the kite does help with keeping birds off the roof, but there is a problem with the kite string winding around the pole and eventually snapping. An expensive way to deter birds.

Kept tangling the string, lasted 4 weeks then flew / blew away. You get what you pay for, it was cheap and the 4 weeks it lasted, there was a noticeably less seagull around...

Does what it's described for keeps the birds from pooing on my patieo and car.

Decent quality bit of kit, quite amusing when the wind gets going and it’s flying around. Unfortunately, does not seem to scare the crows, maybe for a day or two, but they soon came back. It also has a habit of wrapping itself around the pole and getting all tangled up in stronger wind.

Had this installed for a few weeks now and can say that it's done it's job. Scares away the rabbits and birds which were chopping their way through the Veg in our raised beds. I got the 4 meter pole which I extended alight which raises the kite up a bit when not flying and allows it to catch the breeze more easily. So far it's proven to be durable. Compared to the commercial versions of this type of deterrent this product is great value for money.

Seemed to keep the pigeons off the garden for a couple of weeks then they get used to it unless it's windy and it then scares them away. Smaller birds ignore it. Difficult to set up in a garden to ensure it doesn't snag on a shed or fence for example. Probably it would be more effective in an open area or large garden. The cord can wrap around the pole. The poles can telescope down unless you twist them together hard and then difficult to dismantle. Overall it is on balance not suitable for use in an "average" garden.
