Doing Carnivore OMAD or Lion OMAD? Then these salts are an excellent electrolyte safety net!
What's Carnivore? What's OMAD?What's Lion?If you know, you know! But, for those, like me a while back, who have no idea, then allow me to explain.OMAD just stands for One Meal A Day, so covers any diet that involves an element of fasting by virtue of only having a single main meal per day.Carnivore is basically a very low carbohydrate diet, that mainly involves just Beef, Butter, Bacon and Eggs, OK, plus things like Double Cream for the coffee, and low carbohydrate cheeses to snack on if desperate between the OMAD.Single Cream and milk are no good, as they contain too much lactose (sugar).Lion is the above, but with just the meat element, preferably from grass fed ruminants.A good Ribeye Steak is about the best there is, because of the mix of protein to fat. You do need plenty of natural fat, or else you will get very tired. In each case, it is wise to supplement with some good fasting salts, just to make sure your body is not going short on any of the main electrolytes. The Advanced Fasting Salts seem to be a very good option, and I have had absolutely no problem taking a scoop in a pint of water every morning whilst doing Carnivore OMAD, with the odd day of Lion OMAD.For various reasons, I have had my Blood tested very regularly, and I can confirm that my electrolytes have been spot on, and unaffected by the diet in any way.I cannot say for certain the Advanced Fasting Salts have helped to keep the Blood Test numbers in the green, but they have certainly not had an adverse effect, and if nothing else, have made sure I did not go deficient in any key respect.I also mix in a teaspoon or so of Ascorbic Acid, which is not the best version of Vitamin C, but it's cheap and follows some research that suggests it is beneficial to help heart arrhythmia issues, relative to not taking any at all. I have ordered some wholefood Vitamin C, so will switch to that when I get it. That's the natural Vitamin C derived from fruit, which includes everything nature intended.OK, it needs a good stir, but I find the salts perfectly palatable, and you should drink the pint over half an hour or so, and stir it before each sip. It's not meant to taste sweet, otherwise it would have a nasty sweetener in it.On a finishing note, at the time of writing this, I have been on the Carnivore OMAD for 8 weeks, and have lost 11.4 Kg. It's obviously a very restrictive diet but, needs must, and it is one that looks like it will hit all of my targets in the least amount of time.I feel great, and this works for me. The Advanced Fasting Salts just cover the basics in case the diet doesn't always cover them. I think they do, because my Blood Tests are fine, so this arrangement is working. I will stick with it, because there's no point tweaking something once it's working well.

DO NOT BUY THIS ONE , buy white original it's great and cheaper!
This advanced one clumps and doesn't mix properly, like powdered milk that won't mix untill you shake it , you can feel powder hitting the throat each gulp . I thought the advanced one would be great but it's not , the white packet is much better , I really enjoy it everyday. DONT GET THIS

Tastes ok at lower dosage. Has better form of magnesium
I’m not using for fasting, just for a daily electrolyte supplement. At the dosage on the pack it does taste foul, but the recommendation is also to not drink it all at once so you might as well dilute it anyway. I use about a 1/4 teaspoon and add lemon/lime juice and it’s fine. It’s very hard to find electrolytes with magnesium glycinate, plus unflavoured so I’m happy with it.

Doesn't dissolve and tastes like Chinese takeaway prawns
Pros: I'm on a zero-carb diet, and with this supplement, I don't have any cramps and very few (manageable) headaches, so the electrolyte content works. Cons: It doesn't taste good. Also, you get the taste and smell of Chinese takeaway prawns (bicarbonate of soda?). And it doesn't dissolve completely. And finally, a tip: try squeezing half a lemon in your glass of water. The juice of half a lemon makes this much more agreeable.

No headache while fasting
I used it during my 36 hour fasts and it works. I didn’t experience any headaches or dizziness (which I would get when fasting without this). It doesn’t taste great (a little fishy if you ask me). But it makes my fasts easy.

Exactly What YOU’RE Paying For
People say it tastes like fish. No, it tastes like bicarbonate (baking soda). I’ve had electrolyte drops that taste way worse. But, what do you expect? This isn’t a food; this is a bag of simple compounds which are essential for bodily processes. If it were pleasant to taste it would have things added that would not be great for the intended purpose of FASTING.I Waterfast every year for about a MONTH and this mixture of electrolytes (salt, magnesium, potassium) is essential for keeping away symptoms of: hunger pangs caused by cravings, dizziness, fatigue, lightheadedness, etc. I won’t go into further specifics of why electrolytes are essential while fasting but this product is fantastic for being just what it says it is and nothing more. I went with this version despite the reviews because I understand the purpose of having more than “just salt” for my nervous system during these fasting periods and wanted to try it with phosphorus as well because it’s only $1 more. So far so great

Does not dissolve in water
There are significant particles which do not dissolve in water, creating a white liquid if shaked vigorously. Then the particles settle at the bottom, and when you drink it, it feels like drinking water with sand.At least it doesn't taste as salty as the previous version.

Bad taste; doesn’t dissolve
This new updated version tastes horrible and doesn’t dissolve as other users mentioned. It is making it considerably more difficult for me to maintain my fasts because I am not able to drink my fasting salts throughout the day. Like drinking phlegm. This was a HUGE waste of money. Stick to the original version whenever it comes back in stock, likely late August as per nutri align’s website.

It works!
I was on a three day fast and on the third day my legs were feeling super heavy and I was moving very slowly. Had one cup of this and after about 30 min., felt much better. I was still a little tired and weak but the heavy feeling in my legs were gone and felt better overall. The taste wasn’t great, but drinking salt water isn’t supposed to taste good so can’t complain too much about that. One thing I didn’t like was that the instructions said to add a .5 or a scoop of powder to 500 ml of water but the scoop wasn’t included! so I had to guess and added a 1/2 Tablespoon of powder to a little more than 1 cup of water and drank that.

Great! But odd taste - Fasting Salts Advanced
I’ve been fasting on and off for a few years now. I don’t know how I only recently learned about using fasting salts to help through the fasting process but what I can tell you is that they help tremendously! When I learned about using electrolytes while fasting I would simply drink some salt water but I figured why not get the full package since the other electrolytes play a significant roll in your bodies electrolyte balance so since it says unflavored I assumed it was gonna pretty much taste like salt water but what really threw me off was a pretty fishy flavor coming from the fasting salts advanced/water mixture! I’m assuming it’s likely a natural flavor coming from one of the electrolytes. I couldn’t find anything online about it BUT at the end of the day they help allot! So I can get threw it but I just thought that I should mention it since I didn’t see it anywhere else! Still a highly recommended product!
