Very painful experience with this enclosure using Western Digital SSD Gen 4 drive. This enclosure gets super hot very quickly and stops working. Windows 11 starts giving read and write errors. As soon as I had a standing fan in front of it, it starts working again. Western Drive never had any issue wirh another SSD Enclosure from another brand which I gave to my brother.

The speed is good, I did benchmarks and all as advertised However, when I connecting over type c – type c cable, it randomly disconnects Via USB it's fine, but the speed a bit slower. It might be an enclosure problem or a type c cable problem, I don't know

With all respect to the earlier negative reviews I saw about this item - item is the best and recommended to buy it works easy plug and ply and very easy to operate Thank you Amazon

Able to use m.2 drives that were lying around thanks to this, quality is good and due to its design it is easy to switch out drives if needed. Have not tested exact speeds but it seems to be good enough for standard large file transfers
