So far, so good...
Only just received this item so preliminary review.I didn`t want a metal one that would inevtably rust so this seemed ideal, all clear plastic.Put it up with a vague smear of petroleum jelly on shiny tiles inside the shower cubicle - out of direct water of course. If it stays put all well and good, if not I will report back - I have had terrible luck with suction cups in the past as they always fall off at some point - in or out of the shower. This holds a Wilkinson sword Quattro razor perfectly. (I noticed some were too small to fit a handle)Watch this space.....Edit: 16 months later I just bought another, the original for the most part actually does stay put - it`s fell down no more than a handful of times - so that`s acceptable to me (for a suction device)The second was for another device *not* because the first failed !

Easy to install and hasn’t budged.
This suction hook was very easy to install, I ensured where I was putting it was clean and dry placed it on the glass and pushed down the hook which then sucks itself to the glass! And even better it hasn’t budged since! (It’s been up a couple of weeks now). It holds my razor fine and is super convenient.Very happy with my purchase.

Does the job nicely!
I purchased two of these last year for £1.99 each, both sold and dispatched from Amazon itself. They’re very simple holders as with most iDesign items and do the job they’re meant for perfectly. I imagine they would fit a wide range of razor sizes and weights!Suction for these is generally very good and certainly strong enough to hold a razor (definitely clean the tile/glass before attaching for best suction). As with any of these types of items however, after a while of being inside a shower and exposed to constant condensation; they do occasionally fall of the wall, usually resulting in a crash to the shower floor and a subsequent razor head change. It’s for this reason I can’t award the full 5 stars...Having said this, since I bought these holders in August of 2020 I’ve only had them fall off the wall three times to date in total, and as I say; I use them INSIDE my shower where there’s tons of condensation. All things considered they’re great quality for the price and far more effective than high street shop bought versions. One downside to note however, is that although I’m a really big fan of the iDesign brand, as with other iDesign items they generally all come backed on card only without any external packaging. In normal times this is fine but in the age of a pandemic it means that we end up spraying and rinsing the items to within an inch of their life before using them; an added hassle that we could do without.A good purchase that works very nicely. Also, if used on tiles/glass (NOT in a shower environment) I imagine they would get all 5 stars!

**rewritten review** Good item
When I first put it on my tiles it fixed firmly and stayed there, even when I put my sons razor on it. However when I wanted to move it I tried re-fixing it to the tile but it won’t stay. I have cleaned the tiles and the suction cup, changed how much water I put on it but still it doesn’t stay. It seems the suction, for some strange reason, only lasts once. Such a shame as it’s a great idea. Would have given it 5* in every way.....**rewritten review**After a bit of Googling I gave it another go and it is now staying in place and has done for days!! So thought it only fair to change my review to 4* and recommend this suction hook.

What did I expect for £1.99?!
I probably should have guessed from the price, but I could have saved myself £1.99. Useless product. I managed to get it to stick to the bathroom tiles for about 2 hours when I first got it out the box but then it fell off and I've never managed to get it to stick back on. I've cleaned and dried the tiles (and tried the mirror), tried using the suction cup both dry and wet, but to no avail. It simply doesn't stick anymore! And to be clear, I didn't overload it. I only tried to put a single bamboo toothbrush in it. Don't bother. Spend a bit more and get one that actually sticks!

Keeps falling off the wall.
Was originally very excited with how easy it was to install, but my excitement ended when I found the construction to repeatedly nearly give me heart attacks by crashing down at random times of the day or night. I followed the instructions to install the cup, tried different spots on the tiles but it still falls, so there's that.

Suction Cups Don't Work!
I've just purchased a number of suction cup items as I don't want to damage my walls. All the others work, including the razor holder I've purchased from the same manufacturer, but this doesn't even stay up without the soap. I've tried brute force, wetting it, damping it etc, but it simply will not affix itself to anything.I've tried it in the shower, above the sink and in other locations. No way! Why I didn't take notice of some of the other reviews I have no idea...

Annoyed!
After sticking this to the bathroom wall a member of my family jumped in the shower, I came back some hours later to take a shower myself to see the glass shattered!!! or at least I thought it was.... but on closer inspection the fog free film had wrinkled and must have lifted off the glass because of condensation / or heat of the shower water? The item wasn't even close to the person showering or had been touched with water. Really disappointed as the fog free / resistant aspect of the product was my main point of purchasing, so I could shave in the shower.Side note....Mirror/Design/Suction cups are all pretty good.
