works as advertised
This works great, I have used all 16 bags, some more than once, no problems with any of them.

I’m addicted
I’m vacuum sealing everything possible! This is the greatest invention ever. I’m wasting less good product and even fruits and veggies. Oh and cheese! 10/10 highly recommended.

Disappointing Vacuum Bags and Vacuum
I purchased the "AMOLEN Filament Storage Bags Vacuum Kit, Cleaning Drying Sealed 16 Bags with Two Sizes for 3D Printer Filament with Automatic Pump" for my 3D filament and I was extremely disappointed. Three of the 16 bags failed to retain their vacuum (18% failure rate) and there were no Humidity Indicator strips included in the package (something other reviewers have mentioned). The Automatic Pump is either severely under powered and/or the valves on the bags are a terrible design as it takes forever for the pump to suck out the air from the smaller single spool bags and even longer for the larger bags. The pump also releases smells of burning plastic when active which is awesome since the pump is also so slow that you get even more fumes with which to fill your workspace. I used an automatic pump from another bag manufacturer and found that it pumped the air out more quickly and with less finagling. It was still slower than pumping the air out of the other brand of bags so I'm leaning towards both the included pump being under powered and the valve on the bags being a poor design. The smaller bags also have a white square label printed on them for describing the contents. This label happens to be at the right height that it also blocks out the label of the spools of filament so that you either have to flip the spool so that the label is displayed through the other side of bag which is semi-opaque or rotate the spool so that it's not obscured by the bag's label but then is at an odd angle. Not a show stopper but another indicator that they didn't test these bags with filament spools. Also the included instructions for the pump mentioned food and clothing storage and nothing about filament showing they adapted this product for filament rather than designing it for filament. Also, I was in a bit of a hurry when ordering these so I didn't see that they only came with two Sealing Clips and only eight Desiccant pouches. Clips are supper cheap so why only include two for 16 bags? The same with the desiccant, why only eight for 16 bags? So irritating. Overall, a pretty poor experience with this kit. At the very least include everything that is promised in the description and don't ship electronics that smell like they're burning when you use them.

Nice, except the pump worked on 5 bags. Tried recharging it. Nothing.
Everything was nice and looked good. The pump worked for one use. Failed when I tried to use it again. I didn't want to unseal everything to return it. I'll just get another brand next time. Update: company offered me a full refund, so I updated my star rating. Appreciate them contacting me.

Better value than larger storage solutions
I quickly learned that my filament would degrade when exposed to air and humidity, so I was looking for an affordable and reusable storage option. I absolutely love vacuum seal bags in the kitchen, so this was an obvious choice. The bags easily fit a spool and the vacuum works well--you just need it seated correctly. Some pumps need pressure, sometimes the suction cup should be warmed with your hand. Once you know how your pump works, it will work every time. I've also been able to reuse the bags. I've opened a stored filament, printed, and put it back in the vacuum bag for storage using the pump and have had no issues. This storage option is a much better value than some temperature/humidity-controlled boxes--and a space saver. Even if I have to buy more bags as these wear out, it's still a better bargain. Once vacuum sealed, you can put the spools back into the box they came in--great if you want to store by color/brand.

Works well
Works amazing, though I wouldn’t say it makes or breaks your prints

Several leaky bags, desiccant seemingly already spent
Unfortunately, it looks like some number (at least 2, but there are many more I haven't tried) have some sort of leak, and the bag will un-vacuum itself. I also found the process of vacuuming the bags to be time consuming, but I suppose it's sucking the air out of a rather tiny check-valve in the bag. I suggest printing some rings that help you form a seal with the machine while making space in the bag to remove the air. You'll see what I mean if you choose to purchase this item. It also looks like all the desiccant packets included are already spent, and this is with freshly dried filament. Using an indicator card I can see the humidity level is higher than what my filament was dried at (according to my AMS, which dries filament too). I suspected the desiccant wouldn't be in good shape as the package it came in is one of those thin zip-seal plastic bags which I don't expect to be airtight. All that said, I'm a little disappointed and I'm contemplating a return given the bag leaks and lack of usable desiccant.

Awesome little vacuum with a good amount of bags and dessicant packets
I've been using these to seal up my 3d printing filaments for a few months now, and I'm confident I made the right purchase with this kit. The vacuum pump is high quality. I've used it so seal and reseal bags around 50 times and still haven't had to recharge it. When properly seated over the little circle flaps on the bag (and with a decent amount of pressure applied from the top) it'll evacuate a bag with a roll of filament in around 15 seconds. The bags are nice, but you have to make sure you completely snap every part of the zip strip. Sometimes you'll get a seal failure and think "well, clearly this bag has gone bad" only to realize you missed a small spot on the strip. The dessicant packets are larger than the ones that come with my filaments, so I just chuck one in each bag along with the smaller one the filament came with. So far, using this kit, I haven't had any moisture contamination issues with my printing.
