Gorgeous, but perhaps not quite authentic as it could be?
Gorgeous, im not sure it is what aficionados would term as authentic? It has a 2 year shelf life so I suspect it is pasteurised... it also comes in a glass jar with a metal lid that has a security button and when opened it doesn’t seem to release any gas so again, probably points to being pasteurised, maybe it is never fermented? It is also manufactured in Taiwan so is not genuine Korean kimchi.Anyway, all that being said, the taste is wonderful, a bit of warmth to it, calling it heat might be over egging the description but there is some warmth going on and tbh I could eat this entire jar in 1 sitting. Only my second kimchi and this by far beats the flavour of the last one which came in one of those pouches.Other than that, the price is ridiculous really for kimchi so I am going to be trying to make my own in future in huge amounts as this is something I could really get into.Delicious for what it is but those wanting the genuine authentic experience may be a little underwhelmed with this offering given the above points. However, 5 stars for a tasty food, imported half way across the world and delivered to my door allowing me to try different cultural foods

It's so good
I'd wanted to try Kimchi for a long time. I'd heard about it in the press, on YouTube, in cookery books and was intrigued.A fermented cabbage that could be a nations favourite dish - surely not. I wanted to try something to base my opinion on before I tried the recipe myself. The recipe itself sounds easy. But it's deceptive as it eats your time. You cut the cabbage, salt it, and wait. 30 minutes. Turn it. And wait 30 minutes. Repeat for a few hours. Drain then mix in a slurry of onion, garlic and chilli and wait. Weeks.I have, since buying this product, made kimchi and it turned out delicious. But not as delicious as this product. In fact my kimchi was better fresh on day one - excellent in fact. But if you're new to kimchi then just buy a jar. After all, it is said that historically the value of a partner was based on their ability to make good kimchi. That's why, rather than trying to replicate a recipe, I'll be buying this again and enjoying it.

Disappointed
It was soft, slimy and unpleasant, seemed spoiled. I have bought this brand before and it was great in taste and texture, not anything like the one I received today. Very disappointed.

Hit Your Taste Buds With A Kimchi Blast
Having lived in South Korea I am well acquainted with kimchi. This product packs a punch, as it should, and is recommended.

Sweeter than usual
This kimchi appears to be made for English tastebuds. I can taste the sugar in it!I will NOT be re-buying this one.
