I am a big licorice fan. The best stuff cost more than I can afford. This licorice is affordable, so I can justify my addiction. This is made in Australia. It is soft. It has a strong taste. It was about 50 cents an ounce. It has sugar in it, but no corn syrup or Palm Oil. I never buy candy or food that has Corn Syrup or Palm Kernal Oil. Just about everything has Corn Syrup and Palm Kernal Oil. The only reason the food manufactures use those two ingredients is because they are cheap, but that are poison. This is the only cheap licorice that does not use them. I wish they didn’t use regular sugar. They should use more Annise and Molases for flavor and sweetener. If they still need sweetener, they should use organic raw, cane sugar. I have purchased lot’s of licorice from Darell Lea, their pricing is all over the place on Amazon. I only buy quantities when I get it for around 50 cents an ounce. This time I had to buy a 10 pack to get this price. If I had purchased 1 bag, it would have been twice as much, and not worth that price.

I received my order about five minutes ago. I had to dig in right away. It took me a minute to get this order because I was changing all my information. I love it. It's soft and chewy and my favorite . I've ordered it about five times now by the case.

Purchased from big box store, seasonal only and for a short time. So happy I found this on Amazon! This is the best licorice and have nerve damage and only licorice can tolerate. Great flavors. Great Price!!! and the taste is very good. The size is a little smaller than other brands and not quite as smooth, but it is very good Liquorice and is More Affordable with good Quality. I will buy again it is worth every bit of it ~ Brian

I love this item! Initially, I found Darrell Lea Soft Australian Licorice at our local Aldi's and purchased 2 7oz bags (all they had). Black licorice has always been my favorite... even as a kid...at 77 my taste buds have changed but I still salivate when I think of black licorice. Happily, Darrel Lea's Soft Australian Licorice does not disappoint, the licorice flavor comes though --intense and suprisingly soft and with time melts in my mouth.After several trips back to Aldi's, I could not locate my licorice--even the manager indicated there was nothing he could do. But Amazon came through! I found Darrell Lea Soft Australian Licorice, Original Black Flavor, 7 Ounce Bag in an 8-Pack at a price more reasonable than Aldi's. The ingredients are "pure"--nothing artificial. I'm trusting that Darrell Lee's black licorice will be available to me for years to come! Thank you Amazon!

One of the most delicious licorice style treats ever. Satisfyingly chewy and soft, great flavor mix, and not too sticky or waxy. Addicting!

This is strange licorice. I won't be buying again. It's strange in the fact it just doesn't seem to melt/evaporate. The taste is okay.

Love the taste. The pieces are a bit larger than I expected. I expected basically the size or “Mike n Ike’s “. I have to cut them into smaller pieces so I can eat them. That is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. Price and taste are good. In the advertising picture I was unable to tell the size. This is 3 bites
