Thoroughly enjoyable game
I can't praise this game enough for how long I actually managed to play it. I bought this in the midst of last year's Olympic fever and found most events it offers to be very fun to play. I was surprised at how long I played on this game for the few weeks after I got it, as I normally get quite bored quite quickly. This is definitely a family game and while it can be enjoyed by a solo player, the experience is much enhanced by the addition of siblings, parents or even grandparents. (The latter generally adds entertainment value - watch as Grandma falls off a horse at the equestrian event for the fifth time!)The range of characters available is the same as that on the 2010 Winter Olympics game which is a good selection. Plus there is the option to play as your miis which you can dress up in many outfits including some made to make your mii look like Mario and Sonic characters. This game is much better than its two predecessors and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of wii gaming fun or to parents who want to keep the kids out of the way for a bit. Happy gaming.

Good Fun!
Good fun for all the family, all ages! A varied selection of games to play, the controls are not too difficult to learn and we all soon were able to play most of the games. The graphics were of quality standard and even on multi player games it was not too hard to distinguish what your character was doing. There are the usual options of single/team play, also single games or tournament 'London Party' - this is the only part of the games I find difficult - to see and control the character on the map. Over all a lot of fun to be had!

Kids love it.
I bought this for my daughters' 6th birthday, wanted a game that her 3yr old brother could also join in. Absolutely fab, they have both been on it so much, the events are fairly quick so no time to get bored. Many events are multi-player so they can compete together, and although some are a bit more difficult for them to get the 'hang of' as far as they are concerned they are doing the events, so they are very happy. The dream events are brilliant too, and have been played, although I think the "London Party" bit is a bit too complicated for my 3-year old, but my 6 year old, loves looking at the sights of London. All in all, a fantastic game.

fantastic fun
I wanted to treat my children to a new game, my problem is that one is 8 years old and has high expectations, the other is 4 years old and has additional difficulties. I read lots of reviews and looked at lots of games. This one is perfect. There is no frustration caused by having to earn the games, it was all available straight away. A couple of the games are harder for my 4 year old but it won't take too long for the controls to be mastered. Generally if you aren't sure what to do just wave the controller about press a couple of random buttons and see what happens. Hours of fun on a rainy day :-)

Gifts that bring great joy!
We bought this game for our 8 yr old grandson and I am delighted that we did. As a family we had great fun with it - including the 'oldies' and he loved it. A wonderful selection of the Olympic games to be a part of. So glad we got him this and not an Easter egg - much more enjoyable and it lasted longer!

Does not play on all Wii Platforms
This was one of two Nintendo Wii games bought as a present to take to Mexico for my granddaughter's Christmas - website did not state that it would only play on PAL systems (UK only???) - unlike a Nintendo game (Art Academy) which was absolutely fine and played perfectly on the Nintendo platform and also a PSP game purchased worked absolutely fine on the PSP platoform. Result - a very disappointed 11 year old Granddaughter. Perhaps the website could be clearer about what platforms the games are intended for (or not!!).
