Beautiful and elegant
Lovely butter fish but be warned quite narrow - cut your butter in half long ways and it fits — which is good as you can wash the butter dish between using the halves.

Very pretty, but too small.
This is the prettiest butter dish i have ever seen. I would love to keep it as it matches my other Spode Blue Italian items. However, it is not suitable for me because our butter won't fit inside. I like a butter dish that will have some space around and above the butter.If they make that in a larger size, i would definitely buy. But for now, i have to return, as i like being able to use what i buy. I like nice things, but i do not buy things to sit on a display shelf.In all fairness, i have already received the refund for the return of this item.

I don't eat butter, but....
This is a lovely dish made by Spode,, from the Portmeirion Group. It is ideal for my vegan 'butter' blocks which are 200g so I don't really understand the comments about it being too small. Came in a lovely box too with the history of how Spode blue-ware came about in Italy. Sits on my work top as it's far too pretty to put away!
